Details are not important, 20 years in OZ entitles her to 50+% of everything in a 'no fault' divorce.
Wrong. Details are the ONLY things that are important. The devil is in the details. She may well get 50% through a divorce, but she could also be sued for a substantial sum for fraud and deception, thereby mitigating the losses. Substantial proof would be needed.

oh yer i fully understand that my friend is pritty much stuffed all round here, was just hoping that someone might come up with a smart idea as to how to get around all this.
i have been in thailand long enough to know you dont win against a thai if you are a farang, far as staying on the good side of a thai lady that is deep into her plan of ripping you off goes ,you are dreaming are my thoughts but , you never know someone may have a good idea?
its just a sad thing when you see a decent man go through such a thing as being deceived and ripped off. thanks all for the help
Lots of details missing from the story, and there ARE 3 sides to every story. His side, her side, and the truth. Maybe if what you say is true his version), he could file a fraud or deception charge in Oz and stop her from leaving the country till it is settled. Get out the Magnum PI Hawaiian shirts and try to snap some photos of the philandering feline with her new squeeze as evidence. Will send you my bill at the end of the month!

Venezuela & Brazil were on TV last night ..... shit holes full of immigrants sleeping in tents everywhere.
The favela folk, and barrio cartels are where the danger lies. I wouldn't be so worried about the homeless as they are too busy surviving to pose much of a threat.... Besides the US has tents cities in places in Vegas and LA

In fact, if I was a USD Millionaire, I can think of plenty of places I'd rather park my butt than Thailand, despite being in and out of the Kingdom for over 40 years. I keep coming here because I am not a USD Millionaire I would be considering Spain, Portugal, Fiji, Samoa or even Latin America.
Would not recommend Latin America. As the OP likes to advertise his millionaire status with others, lots of countries like Mexico, Brazil etc could be downright dangerous (kidnap, express kidnap, robbery, etc)

Vloggers bloggers cyberbeggars
Whatever their label
What vindictive deity inflicted them on mankind?
Would that they were all herded to some dark corner of Pattie-ah (where ever on Gods green earth that is) and left to rot in their own insignificant bubbles
Ok, ok, so the pronunciation is bit off, but you can't complain about the movie star looks with the Miami Vice, Versace-esque permastubble!

When I read the title of thread, I though it was about Lebanese militias. After reading the full content, I have to confess to OP I eat at home with no shirt on, which is inside, and according to his anti- au naturel rules, verbotten. OP should go read the thread on Nazi memorabilia and lighten up a bit! Meanwhile in Japan, http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/japan-naked-restaurant-to-ban-customers-for-being-overweight-elderly-or-tattooed-a7078176.html

The difference is a bit like the teams in the movie Dodgeball. Pattaya in purple and Hua Hin in yellow.
Dont forget the 5 D's, Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!

Happiness in Thailand boils down to expectations. Be realistic. If one is looking for a life companion, very possible in Thailand. But if one thinks he'll be a Brad Pitt in Thailand, not going to happen. Living comfortably on a western pension in Thailand? Absolutely. Living the lifestyle of the rich and famous on a pension? No. And Thais are not going to speak English like back home, drive like folks back home, or kiss-up to farangs like when you were a tourist. Anyways, it's all about expectations.
You mean I am not a "hansum man".......I really believed it!

I love the Thai people, their attitude towards life, Thai food and the wonderful friendships I have made with them. They are loyal and always very helpful. What I don't like about the country is the hordes of lowlife foreign trash living here now. I luckily don't have much to do with them and avoid them.
How do they feel about you?

Somehow I got to the end of that post, but my intestines are now in a pressured, explosive knot. Oh! There goes a small fart. It squeaked out, unexpected like. Now where was I? Ahhh...you're having troubles with your Thai girlfriend, whose friends 'really like you, and that's important...Oh my God, another rush of air just flew out my rearend, and that one had a bit of heat to it. Ok. Sorry. Yeah, so your holiday dream girl turns out to have an exboyfriend, and his mum has been in contact with her trying to patch it all up. But you still get the occasional booty call...*whoosh!*OMG, that one came with a turtlehead. Touching cloth as the Brits say. Ok. Where was I? Ah. She has to make a decision, and so do you by the looks of it, since you dragged your dirty laundry out onto a public forum hoping for an answer you already know in your heart (or gut) to be true. I think I'll go back and re-read the feature story about the slob in Buriram, and how his one-eyed wife has to wipe his butt. At least that couple are commited.
Is there a soundtrack that goes with this?

This is a real coincidence because I just got back with my girlfriend of 2 years, we broke up 4 weeks ago. My mum helped patch it up.
She wants me to get a Tesco points card. But everything else is great.
Do you get frequent flyer points for going with the girl?

Maybe the OP should ride his bike back to his home country.
Didnt he also mention previously problems in Malaysia as well....maybe trouble follows him wherever he goes?

The thing with the skin color is incredible. Some time ago I asked one women in an office who Noi is. She told me something like "the 2nd whitest women in this office". I was surprised by that answer and asked her if she could rank all of them (about 10) by how dark their skin is. She told me with out hesitation: Yes. After that I spoke with other Thai women and they all confirmed they know exactly who is a little darker or whiter. It must be incredible important to them.
Does this factor in the whitening cream treatments, or is it based on natural pigment. It's a bit like a golf handicap, the great equalizer.

Why do people open up these old topics?
Do you think a topic previously discussed is somehow verboten to be discussed in the future. Your conversations must be very limited!

Tax Residency Number
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Does the tax ID remain valid for life. In other words, if you had one last year, but changed companies this year, or left and came back as a tourist, would the original number still be the only valid one?
