  1. I was not always reliable in adding chlorine and I neglected pH for a long time. Finally it was too cloudy so I test pH and it seemed too low, so I added a bag of soda ash. Also tried to shock with extra chlorine and add an clarifier/algaecide that I found on Lazada. Now I did a water test as seen in the photo attatched. What should I try next to fix my pool water please?
  2. Unfortunately they are not in Phuket but only Samui for the south. They said once every 2 or 4 months is more likely than monthly. Anyone can recommend a company in Phuket? Rentokil quoted me 12,000 THB per year!!!
  3. Would you mind to ask if they have their services available in Phuket or can refer to anyone?
  4. Please give us more details in order for these comments to be helpful? Whose the guy? What does he use? What are you referring to about the Thais using something more dangerous/smelly/often? This is might be great info if you can simply unpack a bit further please! By the way, today I had a guy from Rentokil visit and assess.... super interesting to discuss with him and see whats going on.
  5. Okay I will replace this skirting with a non-wood one and get some professionals to assess my house and start some treatments. Thanks everyone. Apart from Rentokil are any other companies recommended in Phuket? For 6-8k per year, that easily will pay for itself considering the amount of damage that would be done!
  6. What bug attacked my wall skirting? And what are the general things people tend to do for protecting their house form bugs such as spraying by a professional company every few months? Or buying some equipment on Lazada to do that oneself? I'm not sure what condition they are in -- but my house actually has pipes under it for sending some big sprays into. I previously never heard of it -- what is the lowdown on such things? (Sorry if this belongs better in another forum -- I am referring to a home based in Phuket)
  7. Is it possible to find beneficial mites in Thailand? That eat problematic ones? Such as cucumeris
  8. In summary we are looking at about 90k for materials (+ any installation costs if labor is hired). And a short return on investment then?: Lets say it supplies just 1/3 of my 6000 THB bill. So it'd be paid off in 4-5 years. Is this realistic and sounds about right?
  9. It seems like this is the system I need (along with supports to hold them above the ground)? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/solar-loff-ongrid-hybird-huawei-528kw-3-phase-i2541775272-s9040130519.html?exlaz=d_1:mm_150050845_51350205_2010350205::12:12654756915!117524295342!!!pla-294682000766!c!294682000766!9040130519!505884294&gclid=Cj0KCQiA5aWOBhDMARIsAIXLlkdl0KIVrM66DHeu-2aqCYKEBvk6hHlMedcp1KQTvoWdz17ki-rnpgcaAnrdEALw_wcB However the return on investment might be like how long (for materials)? Considering I (live in Phuket and) can use south facing.
  10. Thanks for everyone's comments. Apparently I cannot do this on my small roof and would need to install the panels on the ground instead. So basically I would need the: panels, the inverter, switch, brackets to hold it together, breakers and the isolation box? I calculated that the panels would run about 70,000 THB (5800 watts) (12x panels at 535 watts each -- spread over 24 sqm) Other components? Assuming decent south facing light, what might I be looking at for ROI period?
  11. I have a building on-grid that needs to run approximately up to 5000 watts at most. The roof is slanted to the west and only bout 12 sqm. I have an electrician on staff but do not know which equipment to procure. 1. I heard that investing in a battery is what adds too much cost to solar systems. Is that true? What battery might be recommended or not? 2. It might be preferable to just have the panels -- what kind is recommended? 3. And whatever else is needed/recommended? Thanks in advance!
  12. Exactly, too bad they flat out lied and robbed the commoners of this promised economic opportunity. This is the promise which got them elected. How can people trust them again?
  13. @Bruno123I think it should work with any post paid. But where is this 10 mbps unlimited flexy plan? I dont see it at all...
  14. @Bruno123 thanks for your advice and expertise on this all. I just got a big issue with my plan! The problem is that my wife uses cellular service on her iWatch as well! This is an add-on for ONLY AVAILABLE TO POST PAID (according to what I was told by Dtac and AIS)! AIS looked at her account and recommended a package of 90 gigs per month for 8XX THB/month. It is half what she was paying (60 gigs + all the top ups) but still much more expensive than the 300/month pre-paid annual plans which cannot work with iWatch. So what do I do? Suck it up and shell out 8XX per month??? No option to get a good pre-paid package with iWatch!? <deleted>!?
  15. AIS or Dtac it is, my wife does not want to support CP company that owns TrueMove lol AIS is max 6 mbps for 1 year unlimited no throttle Dtac is 10 mbps for the same Both similar price, so I think it's worthwhile to switch from AIS to Dtac Not sure about the 6 month options however.... this is all a lot to look into. Reason my wife was getting ripped, is that she paid for a few days of speed boost. Better pay for a year package and pay 10% of the cost!
  16. @Bruno123Thanks for your advice. It sounds like Dtac or True could be best if they allow on an existing number somehow.... Can you find any link to this supposed AIS unlimited 1-year high speed internet at 200 thb/month? I could not find it, but the adverts are mostly in Thai and I think thats because I thought it said something about SPEED THROTTLING (which wont suffice!).
  17. Now my wife is paying 1000+++ THB per month post paid with AIS for her phone data. This is ridiculous since unlimited 10 mpbs sim packages are on offer from Dtac and perhaps others at 1,300-1800 thb... Problem is, her phone has only one sim card slot (iPhone X) and we dont really wanna change her number. QUESTION: what is our best option to keep the same number but have 1 year unlimited high speed internet on her phone at a much lower cost?
