More photo op, finger pointing, and hot air.

Solution is better driver training and real police enforcement. Not just infrequent road checks. Actually chasing a violator (speeding, red light runner, weaving, etc) would be good.

Yep, instead they will find improved ways to manipulate the road statistics during these 'Brains Trust' initiative campaigns :coffee1:

Yeah, they'll all become Christians next where the dead come back to life and float off to heaven, but of course westerners would never believe such rubbish would they .......

If only the Thais could be like us.

Well, they certainly don't practice 'True' Buddhism here :coffee1:

Those who won't pay still won't pay, no matter how 'easy' they make it !

    Exactly.

That was one of the first 2 things that sprang to mind immediately.

The 2nd was, where in Thailand is anything (involving paperwork) ever done in 3-minutes. Hand over your ticket and be handed back 16 other forms; "Need photocopy Mister"; computer down; not open Buddha Day... The list goes on :coffee1:

It’s about time people started to stand up against rip off merchants. It’s about princeable. Well done.  A few more vidios  and maybe just maybe the Thais will get it,

I agree 100% it's about the principle. These Pr1X think they are entitled to rip off Farang. Even for 1 Satang this is worth exposing.

The only slight problem with the above statement is, Thais will NEVER get it :coffee1:

People need to learn what a proper following distance is.  Especially is this true if one is traveling in a less-protected vehicle and stands to be more seriously harmed by a collision, or a commercial vehicle that endangers others more.  The speed is really not the issue--the management of that speed is.  If one has poor reflexes, he or she should increase the following distance accordingly--and be extra wary of unexpected maneuverings from others on the road.  No one should take their cue from others.  For myself, a lifetime abstainer from alcohol with some of the fastest reflexes around, my following distance can sometimes be less than others would need for safe stopping.  Each individual needs to know his or her own competence, and manage his or her driving habits accordingly.

That said, it would be nice to see fewer "murdercycles/suicycles" on the road.  They really are dangerously risky modes of transportation.

You have this interesting notion of Learning (which you are 100% correct) yet you use this concept within the context of the indigenous vehicle operators??? Very interesting :coffee1:
