  1. I am planning to extend my Non O visa in the next few days. When I go to:

         https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?p=14714

it says the only documents needed are:

    1. personal data form, TM7,

    2. proof of 800,000 baht,

    3. copy of passport.

Is this correct? Previously, I needed to provide a map showing location of accommodation, lease, and a copy of my TM6. In total, what do I need to provide to get an extension of stay?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I have a Non O on my Australian passport. The Non O needs to be extended for 365 days within  the next month. Unfortunately, my Australian passport expires in 11 months, not the 18 months required for a Non O extension. I also have a Canadian passport that expires in 2026. Can I take my Canadian passport to Immigration, with a TM7, and ask for the renewal to be placed on my Canadian passport?

Did  you not get a 2 dose certificate after your 2nd dose?   Does it have your 13 digit identification number on it?

The certificate has a QR code on it.  Scan it and it should take you to a site that shows your record with both vaccinations.   If it doesn't, take your certificate and a print out of the Mor Prom site to any vaccination site and they can check in the computer to see why Mor Prom does not accurately reflect your vaccination status.

    Thanks.

  4. I received my 2nd COVID shot about two weeks ago at Bang Sue. My first was at MedPark. Staff at Bang Sue noted that this was my 2nd shot. My Mor Phrom app still only shows me having one vaccination, not the Bang Sue vaccination. Bang Sue staff said Mor Phrom would be updated within three days. How can I get my 2nd vaccination added so I can get a travel passport?

  5. On 7 December I applied on-line for my 90-day. The status shows Pending, but I am concerned as my 90-day report is due this Monday 13th. Should I be concerned about the slowness and make other arrangements to submit my 90-day? I wish I could trust Immigration to complete paper work.

    Thanks in advance

Looking at the vfs global website, it’s not looking like they will issue her the visa.

I just looked at VFS and, so long as she is vaccinated, getting a visa looks OK:

"New entry regulations into Austria when traveling from Thailand effective 15th September 2021

Please read and understand the following update regarding the entry regulations into Austria when traveling from Thailand: https://www.bmeia.gv.at/oeb-bangkok/reisen-nach-oesterreich/coronavirus-covid-19-und-reisen/

Unvaccinated persons or those without proof of recovering from COVID disease are now - with a few exceptions - subject to quarantine. If you have been fully vaccinated please provide proof of vaccination when applying for your visa."

This was my understanding too. I was looking at Finland as it has direct flights from bkk for her and where I live for me and has no quarantine required on arrival and “only” 2 weeks when I get back home. I can enter, but gf needs Schengen. Looking at the vfs global website, it’s not looking like they will issue her the visa.

I am hoping the quarantine situation will change after Christmas when she applies for visa. We do not plan to travel till the end of May, and could delay the trip if necessary.

  8. "Btw, I plan a trip to Munich next year - how are you flying there? I fancy Qatar. " One of the Middle East airlines I would prefer. If I booked with with Expedia or Webjet, they both say Etihad allow 35kg checked in baggage. When I visit the Etihad web page, they say they only allow 20kg checked in baggage - most airlines allow 23kg or 25kg. If I were to book with Expedia because I needed to take more luggage, and at the airport they said I was 15kg over weight, I would be screwed. I will take my bike with me as checked in luggage.

We plan to cycle the Danube River, about 600km, and look for a campground every night. Starting next May.

  9. I would like to take my Thai gf on a three week trip around parts of Europe, mainly Austria, although flying into Munich. I have a UK passport, so no problem for me. My Thai gf, however, needs to show prearranged accommodation for the duration. This is a problem as I planned to drive and look for a new hotel each night depending on where we drove to. Has anybody else experienced this and successfully obtained a tourist visa?

Unless your nearby to CW it's more convenient at Airport.

The TM8 requires a pic. They will do it for you at airport for service fee ~ 200b.

BTW your on an extension of stay based on retirement. No such animal as retirement visa.

BTW did you previously have a non O or Non O-A.

I have a non O visa. The last time I went to immigration to get a 90 day, they said that Immigration at Suvarnabhumi had only given me a 30-day tourist visa. I spent all morning getting my visa corrected. I do not want to be held up at Suvarnabhumi if I have a plane to catch. Is it CW I need to go to to submit a TM-8?

  11. I do not want to buy insurance on my return as it is a rip off. I have no choice however, and https://covid19.tgia.org offers reasonably priced insurance, although I have not shopped around. Since my retirement is valid till next April, I do not want to pay for 8 months insurance. Can I buy a one way, fully refundable, ticket to Australia for two weeks after I enter Thailand, and then I need only buy one month of insurance? Cashing in the ticket back to Australia after I arrive back in Thailand.
