The chances for same day are very low right ? (Friday is not a good excuse for that i guess)

We did not wait till last moment.

We extended our 30 days. I got 30 more but my gf - they decided she get 7 more.

and suddenly we must leave Thailand, pay A LOT to get our ED papers here earlier, and wait a week in Laos because there was no slot for us. (What you do in this hole for a WEEK !!!!!! )

Thailand starts to be not that worthy, especially for educated people who can go anywhere. I am with a gf that can’t go anywhere (Asian) so have problem.

Ok we have an appointment but the school asked if we book another appointment to get back the passport?! 

I never read about that , and I thought you pick it anyway next day ?

Another thing, we have to apply on Friday, pick it on Monday right? (But they say there is a holiday on that Monday 8 April, which in the website of that embassy I do not see as a holiday) .

how do we know? And is there a way not to wait the weekend ?

Booked it anyway although not sure we will go yet. We need a day or 2 earlier, since nothing to do in this s* hole for 6 days.

Did not get any confirmation email with a queue number, as my girlfriend got it within a minute.

Not sure why - but have a bad feeling because nothing is working with this visa thing lately.

How can I use their service? you must book with your passport, email, account, etc.

CAN NOT. Please read. Documents are signed to Vientian, and also the only safe place for us.

I would pay any agency if its legal, not sure what fixers are but account must be under your own name and passport so not sure exactly how it can be done.

School said "we advice you SERIOUSLY to do that in Laos and come back by border if you don't want problems" - also application is already set to Laos with the documents.

Again, willing to pay, because we must leave thailand at date x, and next meeting is at Friday that week, that means finish at x+6 days.

I am shocked to see that for almost 3 weeks in advance their schedule is full.

Not only that, people actually book everything on Mondays-Wednesday and leave only Fridays free

(so you wait the whole weekend).

Is this system getting updated ?

Is there any way to pay and get it earlier ?

We are going to need to stay there for a week because Thai visa finishes 6 days before the open slot.

Flights being canceled, delayed, people get sick, things can happen in less than 24 hours .

So I have to set the appointment with a safety area of another day, means stay longer in this hole Vientiane.

Really close to give up everything. Seems like a big money machine.

If you set up an appoitment and miss it due to flights/buses/ferry being late, do you have to wait again for another week or so ?

Tried to create a new account.

Did not get the email with the password.

Tried again - they said this email is already registered.

Tried to reset the code, got a new one to email, can't use it to log in.

No help center.

Trying with a new email may raise suspicion because they show too many messages about "trying to book multiple slots" saying they will block you.

What to do ?

Thanks, so we sent them message because the Laos immigration website says clearly that some countries can not get visa outside their country. They said she can get it in Laos.

We just worried that this VOID on her 7 days extension will look bad in Laos for the ED. (We where told by the Saigon embassy that she indeed deserves a 30 days extension)

How can I check if she must ask the ED visa in her own country? Is there any official website that tell that?

Say I call them , explain, and they understand (I tried to do that there and he said gently “those are laws for Vietnam”) they can’t erase the VOID from her passport right? What’s a good outcome?

Can you direct me to an official link and number to complain? What should I based my complain on ?what should I say?

i understand completely the differences between SETV and exempt.

i heard that on the border in Malaysia or Burma , she will not get another 30 days exempt, only on airports.

Not sure it’s true but a well known agency told me that and didn’t want to take money.

We will try to get the ED papers faster to leave together to Laos and do it.

Is there a place to check if there are more special ridiculous rules only for Vietnamese that may deny her ED visa? Maybe they are not allowed to get an ED or need to show proofs that they have heart and liver to get it? (Sounds very racist).

Is there a case they changed their decision about extension/visa?

Can we officially complain about this extension decision to someone ? 

we are so tired.

Should we email them? Chances are zero right? They already gave her the 30 and void it , why?

Someone said the Paeng(Malaysia) border will not issue a visa exempt only tourist visas? Is it a long trip from KP?

Me and my girlfriend went into Thailand with 30 days visa exempt. I am Western she is Vietnamese.

Went to Samui to do extension 30 days.

i got 30 more, she got 7+VOID = someone put the date for 30 days extension(till 26 April) then officer said “her country has different rules” and after conversation with his friends put red VOID on this date. (Are those really the rules???) and another stamp with earlier - 7 days stamp.

PROBLEM :

We already applied for ED visa a week ago in Phangan. Her visa now finish at 2 April, and our ED visa papers will only arrive around a week later from the school in KP.

We don’t want to separate- the plan was to pick the ED papers here together around 10-15 April and go to LAOS together.

if we leave now together school will have to mail the ED papers to Laos (another week) and we have to wait in Laos 2-3 weeks (yak!)

Is her only option is a visa run to Malaysia for another 30 days? (So we can leave together at the end of April with the papers)? How long this visa run takes? Is it safe enough for her doing it again now only after a month with a strange void ? (Our first visa exempt in past year).

Can we complain to them ? It sounds like the rules are 30 days for her. (Guess no one will listen)

The school actually said it is very important, they said you almost need nothing other than this (make sense because you stay 6-9 months and they want you to have money).

The report from the internet banking shows too many personal details I don't want to share (e.g investments).

Always hard to understand about those bank statements- what dates are good and what's acceptable (languages etc).

We have official bank statements with more than what they need, but from 31.12.18 . (2.5 months)

* all schools i asked takes 4-6 weeks to produce those papers (such as local police records, etc)

We will go to Bangkok and then to Laos by flight/train.

How long does it take in Vientien if we make an appointment?

* we do have all papers, but I don't understand yet, if the process that the school make - which takes 4 weeks - does already "contain" some kind of approval for us (they said they give us back some papers) ? or the final approval only happen outside Thailand ? (what basically the school does ? )

** is bank statment for a large amount issued 2 months ago is good enough ?

I know it is a bad place to do any kind of visa.

We are in Koh Phangan and need to go out to get the ED visa, Can not enter Malaysia .

Laos is far, they advice us not to go Vietnam because they refuse the school some ED with no reason in Hanoi.

They said PP is ok (?)

- Did anyone had problems here with ED in Phnom Penh ? (our passport already have a few SETV).

- What could be some reasons for denial for ED in general ? (bank statement from 1.5 months ago?)

its the second time I hear from people in real life that details provided here where too neurotic. Both B visa SETV visa, and ED visa. 

Seems that some people want to make it harder. Not sure why.

i asked 2 large (very) agencies.

1. No need to show 4m THB

2. No need to have 4 Thai

3. It’s actually just money and visa runs.

Talked with those who made it, non had any problem or being detained.

all legal.

Also being “employed” by someone- easy and only money. Like everything in TH.
