With an "agent-assisted" retirement visa and extension, I wouldn't risk an official move to another immigration office.
Two options come to mind: Ask around if there are any agents that provide the same kind of service in Nakhon Si Thammarat and skip the Pattaya agent. Or use the Pattaya agent and let them deal with subsequent 90-day reports.

Sounds like he and his wife didn't keep their seat belts fastened despite being advised to do so while seated (to mitigate this very scenario, unexpected turbulence).
If I had been on that flight and either he or his wife or some other negligent idiot had landed on me, I would have been pretty angry.

How do you plant only those parts that will remain legal?
Are they as retarded as this sounds?

It's perfectly fine to have a Thai retirement "visa" (extension) and another one elsewhere.
The only thing that will matter to your immigration office when extending is that you will continue to meet the (Thai) requirements.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that this muppet is an immigration police volunteer, he wouldn't be the first foreign police volunteer misbehaving.

The insane number of Thais who have been found overstaying and/or working illegally in South Korea and Japan since having been granted visa-exempt entry to those countries MIGHT not go down well with some Schergen countries!

You think? Well I think that's nonsense.
I like Telegram, it has some pretty cool features that other messengers don't have.

I struggle to remember having read any article that is more idiotic than this one. Anywhere. On any subject.
Isn't it just common sense to have a good mix of payment options at one's disposal, including cash? Especially when traveling far away from home.

Deluded old numpties perhaps, but the idea that they could actually succeed is barking, IMO.
BTW, a successful coup requires a few more people than can fit in a van.
To be classified as a terrorist, you don't need to have killed anyone.
As for their abysmally low chance of success, I agree with you. But again, that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be tried as terrorists and punished severely.

Nothing wrong with that. Just because many of them look like deluded old goats doesn't mean that their plans for a violent takeover shouldn't be punished severely. They, too, are domestic terrorists.

Recently, Biden mentioned considering Australia's request to drop the case against Assange, hinting at a possible diplomatic resolution.
Hopefully that's what will happen, this has been going on way too long.

Potential property market investors, take note.

It's been tried before, there simply doesn't seem to be enough interest in routes to and from Hua Hin.
Otherwise the airport would be thriving, just like many others, isn't that beyond obvious?

That's a great advertisement for the Elite visa scheme - spend 800,000+ baht, get probed for money-laundering for free as a bonus.

Could you please advise me on what options I have to extend my stay here until (hopefully) 24/06/2024?
Same as before, a 30-day extension for your visa exempt entry and/or a 60-day extension to visit your wife.
That way you won't need to leave and re-enter Thailand until you can apply for your non-immigrant visa.

Just a side note... A visa agent from the language school I'm actually visiting, just told me, my only option would be Ranong (Myanmar). But it's also a whole day trip in a van from Phuket to the border and back (5am - 10pm). Wondering why according to them that would be my only option? Maybe they also just try to sell this route and fill up their van?
You're probably right with regards to their motivation. You can re-enter from Laos overland just as well.

He expressed hope, so this hasn't even been agreed upon yet and the article seems premature. I wonder if the EU does even know about Thailand's hopes and dreams.

As of now, the opening post has a whopping 9 negative and only 2 positive reactions. Why such a thread isn't just binned is anyone's guess.
Some things will never change, Thaiger or no Thaiger, pointless drivel remains pointless drivel.

Although no details have been provided whatsoever, it's pretty clear that this will be bad news for anyone who wants to open a new bank account for perfectly legitimate reasons. More requirements, more documents, more confusion among the poorly educated bank clerks.

As you'll have your main residence registered with immigration elsewhere, you and/or your Khanom landlord can reasonably be expected to file TM30 notifications for your temporary stays in Khanom.
Ideally, you or your landlord register the house for online TM30 notifications to make that as painless as possible.
