  9. you could be right that's why I decided to stop and tomorrow will see what we wrote and maybe try one more time, but again my main goal would be to change Bios to AHCI and my frustrations would go away
  10. sorry my mistake model is N22Q21 Acer Aspire Vero
  11. I follow your instructions it didn't work then went to jaimaai instructions they didn't work either, then follow microsoft instructions ithey didn't work either, I appreciate very much what you and the other members did trying to help, I really do I give up and will go back to the store and ask the tech to undo whatever he did, it's a 2 hour drive each way but can't deal with it anymore, thanksk a million
  12. tried that link but it appears Acer doesn't like to change the BIOS maybe have to drive 2 hours back to the store and have a go with the owner https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/652957/why-cant-i-change-boot-mode-from-uefi-to-legacy-on-my-aspire-5-a514-54g-51as yes as the kid would have a similar system to my current one and easy to help her if anything happen. First time buying Acer as all my systems are DELL and know how to navigate them, ACER appears to be more complex
  13. I did and it said can not complete action as file was missing.... at theis time my last option is to try to change the BIOS from SATA to AHCI it that happens I will clone my old samsung into the new one and will have 2 same systems but so far couldn't access BIOS or able to change BIOS
  14. done all of that ... final result is that it says I can't upgrade as I already have a copy of windows, thanks for all your help, it's dinner time for me, I give up and will format the disk and proceed with a clean installation, again thanks a lot after all I have done it just keeps coming back with same installation, check the photo
  15. completed the task, copying the ei.cfg to the USB with the installation media and will cross my fingers
  16. u r correct it was @JaiMaai and forgot to thank him, my bad
  17. thanks, hope u had a good dinner and I didn't bothered too much... reading it thru and will let u know the outcome
  18. am doing it now as (sorry) but forgot u gave that option, it's almost complete
  19. The main problem is not being able to select the Win 10 Pro version, everytime I use the media creation tool it always sets the installation to win10 home single language, that's what I have been trying to explain, disk creation tool, download now update and/or upgrade it always defaults to the damn win10 home single language, that's why I got pissed and decided once and for all to format the drive and that may solve the problem
  20. well noted and appreciated..... already had a bootable USB ready (just in case) when started to play with it
  21. did as well to no success
  22. did that before posting and it didn't work thus posted about it, ACER appears to be a messy BIOS
  23. Ok sounds great and do appreciate the effort.... trying to access their BIOS to change from SATA to AHCI (Linux, Samsung quire that and my samsung drive can not update until I made that change) and can't do it, already started safe mode to be able to make changes and not possible.... I must be really bad or the brain not working anymore 555
  24. account not blocked the upgrade is blocked and always defaults back to win 10 home single language
