  1. I actually prefer smaller phones. Each to their own I guess.
  2. I doubt it. If they did, you’d probably only get less than 500 baht. the SE has the same size screen, but it seems much more responsive to touch. I also have an old iPhone 6s, and it seems ancient compared with this SE phone that I just got.
  3. Anyone in the market for an iPhone but don't want to spend over $1,000 USD for one? I just bought a used iPhone SE (2nd generation with A13 Bionic Chip) and it is amazing! For all intents and purposes it's just about as good as the latest iPhones but I got it used for only 6200 THB! There are numerous reviews of it on YouTube (produced this year) proclaiming it to be the best possible used iPhone today, fully compliant with the latest iOS (ver 16), and will probably be compatible with future upgrades for another 3-4 years. And BTW, the latest iOS update ver 16 is incredible with MAJOR upgrades, which is the main reason I got it since my previous iPhone 7 could not be upgraded to 16. It has a new "voice typing feature" that works so perfectly that it eliminates the need to use the keyboard for about 75% of the things you'd normally use the keyboard for! I got it from KhunEarth Witsarut shop in Pattaya which has plenty of listings on Facebook Marketplace. The owner has a good reputation for excellent used iPhones, takes credit cards, and speaks reasonable English. Just thought I'd mention it in case your present iphone is on its' last legs as mine was, but you don;t feel like spending $1,000+ for a replacement.
  4. SO many times somebody recommends an app and it turns out to be a waste of time. The Brave Browser is not one of them! I fear it's probably some diabolical Chinese app designed to spy on you or something, but I don't care because it's that good LOL!
  5. I was diagnosed with extremely low T about 8 years ago (like around 300 ng/dl) which is why I started TRT. My doctor was a GP and handled my treatment perfectly. As I said, it's not rocket science, just a matter of being well read on the subject, and having the ability of interpreting blood tests, which any competent GP should be capable of doing. My doctor also emphasized the importance of exercise and nutrition and basically read me the riot act to clean up my atrocious lifestyle, claiming that TRT alone was not the answer to good health, and he was pretty persuasive in that regards which is why I took what he said seriously. It might be of interest to know that he also diagnosed me as pre-diabetic, and with dangerously high blood pressure, yet he did NOT prescribe the usual drugs for treatment but encouraged an entirely nutritional / exercise approach, both of which quickly solved those issues! When I moved to Thailand, I found another GP (up in Chiang Mai) who was just as competent. Her name is Dr Nisachon Morgan and she is an exceptional GP (for anyone in Chiang Mai in need of a good GP, or one to prescribe TRT). She is mentioned many times on this forum. She is exceptionally well read on all medical matters, runs a great general practice clinic and is one of the nicest people you can imagine. In other words, she really cares about her patients, which is more than you can say about a lot of the TRT clinics who are more interested in money than doing right by their clients.
  6. Ya know, It might just be my imagination but I've been on this forum for 30 minutes today and I've seen a significant drop in pop up ads! Could it be that somebody is listening to us? I mean, there ware still ads popping up but they are well away from the main posts now. As for using the forum on mobile devices, teh BRAVE browser that another forum member mentioned, works very nicely...I mean, I don't see a single ad showing up at all !!! Too bad they don;t make a desktop browser ????
  7. I will report on results; that's the least I can do for all the support you folks have provided. Ya know, if all of the website adopted the use of "authenticator apps", none of these draconian ID verification issues would exist! All of my banks and credit card companies now use them, and so does Facebook. Ever since I began to use them on those sites set up for them I have not gotten a single ID verification challenge, not even a Capcha request! Even Instagram started using them, and so I no longer have any issues with existing accounts (only when I try to create a new account). Unfortunately eBay and Amazon (Seller Central) are not yet set up with them. I expect that soon every website will use them though, and all of this ID verification nonsense will be history. These authenticator totally eliminate the need to receive SMS short-code texts (which are impossible to get here in Thailand for US cell phones, and most website will not send SMS texts to foreign cell numbers). The authenticator apps work so well that I have not received one single ID verification challenge with any website that allows me to set it up with. If you're sick of the hassles of ID verification and Captchas, check it out: https://support.lastpass.com/help/lastpass-authenticator-lp030014
  8. It sounds like you haven't been doing TRT in Thailand for too long. Ampules work just fine and there's no need to use a filtered needles. Personally I prefer rubber stoppered bottles too but learning to work with glass ampules is not that hard. No need for an endo or TRT specialist either. Many GP's know how to prescribe and manage TRT just fine, and are more trustworthy than a lot of the doctors associated with TRT clinics. TRT is not rocket science. Also, permanent shut down of the H-P-G axis is a completely unfounded myth! I make it a habit to completely abstain from TRT for 4-6 weeks every year. Slight loss of muscle tone and slight loss of libido but nothing requiring PCT at all. In my case, all that happens is that TT blood values gradually drop back down to about 150% of pre-TRT levels. In other words, they never fall back to the values they were before I started TRT, so the residual efficacy of TRT stays with you even when you've been off TRT for a month or even longer, provided that you are staying in shape with some regular cardio and resistance training. BTW, regular cardio and resistance training are absolutely essential for successful TRT. If you are only relying on injections you are simply wasting your money. This year, I went off TRT in mid November and am still off of it in February. My serum TT is at 150% of my pre-TRT levels right now, after almost 3 months of not doing TRT at all...so really no problem rebounding with natural Test production at all. And finally, HCG is a total waste of money IMO. I tried it once and was thoroughly unimpressed with it. Maybe that was just me, bit all the hype about HCG that you hear on the internet is just that...HYPE with no underlying scientific basis to it at all. All of the above is Just my 2 cents. ????
  9. I am definiitely going with the dongles. It makes the most sense out of any of the options I've explored.
  10. I already do that on YouTube. YouTube got crazy with silly pop up ads almost everytime you chose a new video to watch, and some that would even interrupt the video you were watching. It's the most disgusting advertising model that's ususally reserved for sex webstes and other super-scammy websites. It certainly does nothing to boost the credibility of a website, and only annoys and frustrates the viewer! YouTube allows you to opt out of that insanity for $10 per month with the first two months free I believe...and honestly it's worth the money! Aseannow would do much better to just offer an opt-out option for a slight monthly fee. I would pay it if it were a reasonable amount becuase Aseannow's use of these pop up ads is just OUT-OF-CONTROL! They would probably make more money by offering a "premium" opt-out option IMO.
  11. Thanks for the suggestion but VPN was the first thing I tried and it was a miserable failure. It might have been a good strategy in the past but these days most big company servers can easily detect you are using a VPN, and when it comes to identity verification, that's one of the biggest red-flags of all and just as suspicious to them as having a US based account and signing in from a foreign country IP address address. I'm not discounting the value of VPN. It still has many benefits while l abroad like lessening the likelihood of getting hacked, having access to streaming media, etc, but if you are trying to log into a sensitive account like your merchant account on Amazon, or managing a professional accountant on social media, using a VPN will do more harm than good.
  12. No reason to get bent out of shape here. Yes, this may have been a long thread but it was only towards the end of it when you suggested the dongles which I think is the best solution. Everything before that required high costs and technical expertise. Early on I tried solutions which were "guaranteed" to work just fine like VPN, and yeah, it was while using the Nord VPN that Instagram took the extreme measure of not only locking my account but informing me that my account was now permanently locked and no further appeals could be made to reverse their decision! So, yeah...I now want to be as sure as possible that the next solution I try stands a good chance of REALLY working. I'm not looking for a 100% guarantee that it will work, which I made clear in my reply to you the other day. I just don't want to waste my time or money if there is an obvious issue that will prevent a solution from possibly working. So...if the dongles solution coupled with using VmWare can work together, then I think I have a viable solution that is easy to deal with, economical, and probably reliable.
  13. It's a little different if you are trying to log in as a buyer versus logging into your merchant account or your professional social media account. I completely understand the need for super stringent ID verification as a merchant (for Amazon or eBay), or a professional social media account. That's why I have 2-part authentication set up in all of those type of accounts, and use an authenticator app. Authenticator apps make it IMPOSSIBLE for for anyone else to hack into accounts protected by that technology unless they happen to get ahold of your smartphone and are able to break your authenticator app password. These apps eliminate the need for all the nonsense formerly associated with ID verification strategies like Capcha codes, SMS short code text messages, etc...BUT for some reason, I get red-flagged anyway with those four sites. They are the ONLY ones that give me this grief! They make it very clear why they are locking my account, and it is always for ID verification, never for violating terms of service. It is ENTIRELY becuase I am in Thailand, and my accounts are based in the US.
  14. Never any violations of TOS. The messages from them clearly focused on identity verification.
  15. Pretty funny, isn't it? Whoever comes up with sales strategies like that are about as smart as a box of hair ????
  16. As a business person, I think it's sheer suicide to use pop up's for advertising. There's nothing more infuriating than being on a website and being bombarded with those pesky things over and over! Who is going to reward that kind of tactic by giving them business? I remember in the early days, when we all relied on fax machines that used that special paper, there was some fax paper company that would send me sales messages on my fax machine several times a day using up MY fax paper trying to sell me THEIR fax paper! That's gotta be the stupidest sales tactic imaginable!
  17. It is, without a doubt, one of the worst pop-up strategies I've ever seen. It's even worse than when one of those porn sites gets ahold of you because you clicked the wrong link and when you try to exit, it opens up a dozen more porn sites in your browser tabs LOL! That will probably be the next step!
  18. Sorry my reply was actually intended for @KhunHeineken, but I a appreciate your input as well. Just to clarify...the sites I have the most problems with (believe it or not) are not financial institutions. They rely mostly on 2 part authentication that use authenticator apps (which I absolutely love!!!), so none of that silly SMS short codes, or endless capcha things and all of that nonsense. The sites I have the most issues while here in Thailand are sales platforms (for your merchant accounts) like Amazon and eBay, and also social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. It is a NIGHTMARE! an asian IP address is a MAJOR red flag to them since most scamming originates in SE Asia. I have been red flagged on those four sites repeatedly, and with all four, my accounts were locked and it took days to get them unlocked again...only to have it happen a few weeks later, and my Instagram account which I had been posting on for years with hundreds of posts, and a huge following was first locked, and then deleted permanently, with no opportunity for me to appeal it! It took me years to to develop that Instagram account engagement which played a big role in my business, only to have it totally wiped out in a second with no way to appeal it! That's why finding a solution to this nonsense is so important to me.
  19. I really did a deep-dive into this fingerprinting technology since I first here of it here. Extensions such as the one you listed, and even a TOR browser (which I use on occasions) are pretty good at defending against fingerprinting BUT everything I've read suggests It’s probably not possible to protect yourself completely against fingerprinting. So, I think the dongle solution ou suggest is still the best solution so I think that's how I will proceed. I'll play around with it. Maybe I'll use my VMware virtual "machine" that I installed on my Mac, and just see what happens. It's a relatively simple and economical solution...and I think you again for suggesting it.
  20. I know this has turned into a long thread and I appreciate the time you took to write such a detailed reply but you really should have read the thread first. I agree with what you are saying, but as @gamb00ler pointed out, there will be "tracks" or breadcrumbs" back to my Thai-based computer (I suspect) that the fingerprinting software could possible detect. I'm certainly no expert ut from what I've read this fingerprinting technology is pretty robust. Perhaps (based on your own experience) I'm overly concerned, and I hope you're correct because your solution is by far the best sounding one. It's been suggested that if I use a "virtual computer" such as VMWare (which I have on my Mac so I can run Windows), I can configure it so that location and time stamps can be set to US....so maybe I should just set it up that way. What do you think?
  21. I thought there would be more people chiming in on this (and I hoped an Admin person would at least weigh in)...but it seems there are only a few of us that are upset by this. Oh well...I guess you get what you pay for LOL. I just can't imagine ANYONE actually responding to one of these ridiculous pop-up ads. There are so many of them, you can't even read the <deleted> ads because they overlap each other like these two for example: Even as ads, they serve no purpose!, considering this is an expat forum in which most members can't read Thai, and yet most of the ads are written entirely in Thai! I am viewing this on a 32 inch desktop screen, so there's plenty of real estate to format these ads properly so that they shouldn't interfere with actual posts. So, when they interfere with being able to read and write posts posts, it is being done intentionally just to force you to focus on advertisements,,,written in a language most members can not even read!.
  22. Same here! Very poorly thought out. Even on a large desktop screen, you have to open the browser full screen to find the cancel button. On a mobile device, forget about it !@#$%
  23. I can entirely understand that they use ads to provide revenue that pays for running such a forum. I'm sure it costs a lot, so ads are a way to pay for it and that's fair enough, but those damn pop-up ads make it hard enough to deal with on a desktop, but entirely impossible on a mobile device. I think they just need to STOP with those damn pop-ups and stick with inline ads. I mean, those pop are so annoying that I would NEVER buy anything from them just on principal if nothing else LOL!
  24. Wow! Just installed and it works amazingly well! Thanks ????
  25. Is there any way to control them? I mean, on a smart phone the ENTIRE screen gets filled with them. As soon as you click one to close it, two more appear! And it just goes on and on! All you can see on a tiny screen are ads overlapping each other, hiding the content of the forum! Even worse, the buttons to x them out are so tiny, trying to click them often s takes you to the he ad’s link on a new page !!! I realize that a forum like this needs ad revenue, and I have no problem with in line ads but these damn pop up ads every few seconds makes this forum COMPLETELY un-readable on a smartphone!, and incredibly annoying on the desktop since it makes the page jump to the ad!!!! Trying to compose a post with them constantly blocking your text as you try to write is a <deleted> pain in the butt! This really is gross overuse of pop ups like I’ve never seen anywhere. Is there some plug in or something that can control them?
