  1. Oh really!! IMO Kanchanaburi's main tourist attraction is "The Burma Death Railway", hardly health and happiness!!
  2. Oh dear, picture includes the US DEA agent! Could be a marked man unless he is back in the States.

  4. Well I never - great! For reference (2022) from a "dumb" ex-pat. I do not own a Smartphone, I still use my Samsung 3G mobile (which is ideal for me to make calls and text messages - none of this APP confusion). I have a personal computer at home. ..............is an anomaly among her peers - she doesn't have a smartphone. Instead of scrolling through apps like TikTok and Instagram all day, she uses a so-called "dumbphone". These are basic handsets, or feature phones, with very limited functionality compared to say an iPhone. You can typically only make and receive calls and SMS text messages. And, if you are lucky - listen to radio and take very basic photos, but definitely not connect to the internet or apps.................................Dumbphones are continuing to enjoy a revival. Google searches for them jumped by 89% between 2018 and 2021................. one report said that global purchases of dumbphones were due to hit one billion units last year, up from 400 million in 2019. This compares to worldwide sales of 1.4 billion smart phones last year, following a 12.5% decline in 2020. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-60763168
  5. Thanks, I totally agree, especially in this part of the World. I will be flying with Air Asia from the new Siem Reap airport to Chiang Mai in two weeks time.
  6. IMO not appropriate colours should food or drink be spilt on the uniform during cabin service.
  7. Well I never, no doubt Pattaya got a thorough clean out!
  8. From the photo, not what I would call a "candy ball". Now this is what I consider a "candy ball" to be from my schooldays as a young lad:
  9. Any of these in posession of the RTP?? Would soon stop his idiotic and dangerous road antics!
  10. Maybe his life was saved by open heart massage?
  11. Just a brief encounter???
  12. Thanks, exactly what I thought:
  13. Thanks, you have resolved my confusion. Never heard of road studs, only "cats eyes"!
  14. Yes indeed. I wonder if these Chinese companies are owned by the Chinese Government and their employees are members of the Red Army in "civvies"??
  15. With respect, time to call in the septic tank emptying specialists. When I lived in Thailand, I had a local "lavender wagon" come and empty my septic tank - 100 baht per visit (pre-covid)!
  16. Working on the submarine/frigate project??
  17. This is certainly not fair play!!
  18. By the time the HST link between Vientiane, Nong Khai and Korat is complete (only "on paper" at the moment), the section between Korat and Bangkok will be obsolete and need upgrading!!
  19. From photo:- I see no evil - on my wrist!!
  20. Yes indeed. I now have 24 notifications listed in my computer which I cannot clear. The "clear notification" key which I used to click on with my mouse, has disappeared and there appear to be no alternatives.
