I can't comment on why they singled you out as I wasn't there, but have you considered that there might have been other reasons not related to speed? Noise from your "old hog" perhaps? I think the main point is Australian Police are rude and aggressive from the start. Having a speed gun pointed at me through the window, on being stopped, with the comment " 'allo Dick head" sounds funny now but when you have been used to polite police as here and the UK, I understand his point. NONE, 'cept you can stay I year, then get another years extension. Health care costs us all the same even on a marriage extension. You can chose very expensive private hospitals/insurance rip off places. Or use a government hospital, and pay them a fraction of the price, there are some very good government hospitals.
