  1. I had 22 and that was before I lived in Thailand, I had 3 kids, now do I break the AN members record for Great Grand Children I have 16 with one more on the way 😱 . I'm 73 in a weeks time.
  2. Some parents were nasty to their kids though, mine never hit me ever, but I was pretty much 'well behaved' and didn't break 'the unwritten rules'.
  3. So why do you have a problem with that ? it's not costing you money, and you could be insuring a car that already has damage, and then try to make a claim on it. I always use a car testing place and let them do all the tax business and get my insurance from them the car does not need to be old enough for testing, for their service trying to save a few baht on insurance just 'aint worth the hassle to me.
  4. Growing up in the the 50s and 60s was the best time for me I was lucky to have a good mum and dad, and a house to live in.
  5. Scrumping apples (and plumbs). Penny for the guy, buying fireworks as a kid. Catching tidlers out of 'the ditch', catching newts out of a farmers pond and getting chased by him, finding slow worms under bits of tin on waste ground................thin pancakes once a year just sugar and lemon......
  6. Helping the milkman at weekends, delivering newspapers to 6 shops in the evening and then standing selling them from those tin boxes. Recording the top 10 from the old radio on a Sunday afternoon. Dad calling the TV a trash box, he would sit in the kitchen listening to radio 4 every night.
  7. All of the above, climbing the tallest tree we could find, mum & dad sunning themselves in the back garden on a Sunday, after the roast dinner, train set, Scalextric, Meccano, 2 weeks seaside holiday every year, no car ever train or coach, dads push bike, being told to take my shoes off in doors to stop wearing out the carpet, Red Rover all day bus pass when my friend and I would travel to the furthest points we could, wondering around the back alleyways/streets in London, with no fear or knowledge of stranger danger. No religion in our house, freedom to go and do whatever we wanted, told to go play outside...................................................................

  10. But we clicked on the story init. I'd say expansion all round door window frame, etc. not just hot air, like this story.
  11. Ok then Steven Fry on his IQ program was lying.
  12. Paetongtarn apologises but vows to continue posting Great reporting, init.
  13. Not that I agree with smoking on a plane but from what I have read the reason they banned it apparently had nothing to do with safety or second hand smoke, it was to save the fuel used to create 'fresh air' / extraction of 'bad air' i.e. recycling air. just saying
  14. Pathetic sentence, but he has friends in high places. Cops who commit crimes should get 2x the sentence.
  15. What you going to do, get your new fighter jets and help their Junta. How they can say such rubbish when we all know they are not neutral.
  16. do they give out a questionnaire when you buy one?
  17. Being a cardboard box. Well they were busy scanning doc's as I being the last out saw them doing.
  18. And yet there they are showing a young girl, going by that photo.
  19. How were they allowed to bring in a truck load of money, did they declare it? rhetorical question.
  20. They always try that on with me at Trat IO, "oh its so much paperwork winge winge....." As I told them don't blame me your the one's that want it, and if I'm sick will you pay my hospital bill as I can't take my money out? They don't like the work involved, but what really pees me off after submitting my 26 documents 12 glossy photos signed my name 61 times, they then Scan it all into there data bass. Thailand 0.000004
  21. Krungsri Bank pays 0.9% a year up to 2million deposited in a Mee Tee Dai account, you can also open a normal savings account 0% for things like direct debits, taxed at source so about 7,200 a year interest paid monthly or as I like to think of it a fee box of beer every month. Cheers. edit they also only take about 30min max to make the bank letter and statements for immigration.
