    I do remember when Prayuth first put in place a curfew I think 9.30pm, you could be shot on sight apparently, by 10.30pm that night my now wife had not come home, I rang her and she along with many others were at the local Karaoke, she came home after 12pm..................... TV was off air also.

    VAT has always been there since 1992 and it was 10% and was reduced to 7% 2020, while Prayuth was in charge. As with the import duties absolutely nothing to do with Prayuth, that is who the OP is about.

    There was a rational reason, Peta wanted to change some LM laws, and him up there, was not having a bar of it, seems plain and simple to me. Freedom of speech would be nice on this forum as anywhere else in Thailand .......🤐🤐

    How did he make long stay 'Visas' I presume you mean extensions more difficult ? Most were caused by abuse of the system.

    Getting retirement extension is the same except for how long the money is in the bank. Getting a marriage extension became more difficult not becoz of him but because there were a lot of Sham Marriages, like young guys marrying very old Women, they are the ones that forked that. Just saying.

    Depending on the access to them, quite easy to do yourself cleaning, plain water works fine, many YouTube vids on how to do it, even a garden hose with good pressure work fine for me.
