I am, and we all should, write to our embassy/consulate and demand they put pressure on the Thai government over this issue.

I see the government is also gearing up to sell the vaccine to companies.........so perfectly healthy, unlikely to be ill, 18 to 40 year olds will be vaccinated well before much higher risk groups.

LOL good luck with that as from what I seen from the Australian embassy response which was a big fat NO for them help their own citizens about getting a vaccine in Thailand.

  2. Did the Thai government take into consideration that a lot of the vulnerable and elderly especially in rural Thailand dont have smartphones let alone internet or have a clue how to download a app. In my village up in Issan the old and sick are not registering as they were told that there will be a community roll out of vaccines to the old and sick organized by the local administration.

Where is it? Moo 5 means nothing to most people

This area is in the Nukluea area in Banglamung which is mostly catered to Thai men.  I been there years ago, lot of cops go there as to why they still operate. I'm afraid us falang are stuck with the bottom of the barrel of whats left on beach road and Soi Buakhao these days.

  4. A little warning on Bangkok Bank as they have one of the worst accident insurance policy's. I bought accident insurance for me and my family a year ago. I paid for my self like 2,400 bht for a 30,000 bht per accident policy.  I was told that in case of an accident, I just need to show the card and the insurance company will pay the bill. Not true as I was in a minor bike accident last year, I went to the hospital and was told that this insurance company will not pay upfront and I have to pay and will be reimbursed later on.

I was more then <deleted> off, I didn't bother going back to Bangkok bank an give them a piece of my mind as they would do nothing say sorry mister and my insurance was just about to expire anyway. I now have accident insurance with Kasikorn bank as their policy is much better as all the hospitals that covers their insurance the insurance company will pay upfront as I already used it.

The behavior of a man child, who his entire life has demanded fealty from his subordinates. We are all his subordinates, from his point of view. He is ill equipped for the job he has. He is incompetent on a dozen levels, and mentally unfit. He really needs to be replaced with someone that is capable and earnest.

I think Thaksin  fits those criterias ????????

  6. This is the response I got regarding financing through Thanachart Bank which seems the most popular bank to get financing.

As a foreigner, there are two alternative ways to get a car loan:
1.If you have either work permit and regular income in Thailand (3-6 months income history, depending on such things as salary and how safe the bank considers your work), you are OK.
    2. If you have regular pension from your home country, you are also OK.
Also, your age has to be no more than 72 when you pay the last installment.

isn't that the dangerous one that lonely planet etc advises against traveling to?

Its only on of the most dangerous and kidnapping islands of the Philippines. Just google Abu Sayyaf. Officially known by ISIL as the Islamic State in Asia. They especially love newbies on their island and will show you around. Just kidding , I wouldn't even bother with the Philippines these days as the place is a total dump. Vietnam, Cambodia also has what your looking for by the way.
