More BS! People are on holiday so less burning. And its been since Jan1st that Kanchanaburi has been over 100 pm2.5 everyday until today. Was windy last night and just blew it along and virtually no sugar cane burning took place that i could see last night. No government input at all just as they planned but it will be back!! Who wants to make a bet?????

For reference its 80 wher ei am in Kanchanaburi. Still incredibly toxic but the lowest its been since new year.

I thought fake news is bad and the government are cracking down but they appear to be the ones making it round the clock.

People need to question how much money the gov is getting from the increased production of sugarcane and processing for ethanol. There is a real push for this soil depriving, pollution causing, sugarcane from the gov. News story i read earlier verifying such with the want to be a ethanol only fuel supply in the future at a time when we should be going electric which also explains stupid taxes on electric vehicles.

Seems the government werent real smart and the people are paying for it.

And there you have it "rasing the price of sugarcane/promoting ethanol" Pollution is because of the governments thinking/plans!!

Ok, i have a farm and use all kinds of pumps, brush cutters etc and can tell you the majoity wont run on e20!! Especially the little g35 (other poster mentioned) brush cutter engines which i also use as 1"water pumps all over my property and they all fail some instantly and some in time. The fillament filter membrane in the carbies along with the other components like fuel filters, primers and such will all fail real fast. 95with ethanol seems relatively ok but because my local stations dont have 91 anyway i chose to waste money on real 95 in everything which is fine because i have a bunch of bikes some tuned to 100octane so only get the real stuff.

This is a bad idea though. Real stupid!!

Nope! im 42 been here since i was 20 and no way in hell will i retire here. Wasted most of my life here and im planning how to be out of here within the next few years. This is another blatant lie. The local cane factory to me made a statement that they would not accept burnt cane. I have only seen burnt cane entering when i pass daily. This is more BS to pretend they are doing something because No biz is going to pay more are they? Especially not a Thai biz and this is why people burn because its cheaper to pay poor slaves to cut cane than it is to hire a harvester so we all have to reach an early grave be ause of greed that foes all the way to money bags prayut which is obvious given his made up % of causes of pollution and also telling people he is tough and its fine. No PM anywhere in the world could be so dumb as to say such things. Makes me sick. Seems a lot of Thais completely agree.

Pm measure by my meter is always literally double or more what is advertised in bkk,.... soooooo anyone give a hoot? Doubt it!

Cost my family alot also and we aint in bkk. We run a farm and its impossible to work. Everyone just starts to feel sick and cough.

Masks dont fit kids or people with beards well enough and symptons can be made worse and its not ok to use masks long term as your basically just recycling carbondioxide ao this is not a sufficient temporary fix.

Farmers that burn need to be put in prison. If some do, all will get the messege and all the clealry corrupt cane factories will have to abide by it or be financially destroyed. To save the population what other reason is needed?

Um, if pm2.5 is of what measure and is it the measure in bangkok or measures in other provinces. In Kanchanaburi its 150-250 most mornings and gets down to 110 every couple of days. Yet pwople are burning all night of farm land, forestry land and public land. My wifes dobbed in people and burns and nothing!!
