Totally wrong. If a driver had to take a test every say 10 years, things might get safer everywhere in the World.
Driving conditions and road rules change constantly, as does the health of the driver.
In UK, at 70, you fill in a form to say 'Yes I can read a car's number plate, I am 100% fit to drive' That's it.
And you mentioned me being on AN for an hour on my Birthday..........while my Mrs and step-daughter are in the kitchen working on a fabulous meal for us all, and a few bevvies later.
Well there are so many of your replies, it's hard to miss them.
I read AN mostly to get information about tax, Visas, murders, scams, road accidents, etc. Not you arguing with almost everyone.
But I must admit they are good for a laugh a lot of the time.
Agree, in fact this thread has descended into a slanging match between Bob and RSD1, so it would be better closed. It's spoiling my birthday today! 555
The number after a date is simply that....a number. Same as a birthday, it changes nothing, except maybe in the mind of the birthdayer, except in the case of 49 to 50, then you can get a Retirement Extension, or 65 to 66 so you can get your UK pension. Or start a new Tax year on 1st Jan, here we come.
