  1. Road markings in metric? You had better read this again. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/656ef4271104cf0013fa74ef/know-your-traffic-signs-dft.pdf
  2. Is that why road distances and speed limits are still in MILES?
  3. I am sure if you Google it, there are Finnish, Hungarian and many other ex-pat sites, who do not speak English.
  4. What do you mean by more user friendly. You click on a movie or music file to play it, and that's what it does. VLC has the ability to convert files, and to extract audio from movies/you tubes. Maybe X Player does as well, I shall give it a go. Just installed and tried it. I shall stick with VLC, no difference in sound quality.
  5. Find the house on Google Earth, or Maps, and print it out, with GPS and LatLong data.
  6. Download and install SPEKKY. Then it will tell you, under STORAGE, what your drives are and their capacites. And as both I and SandyF have said, defrag HDDs, optimise SSDs, all from Start, Settings, Disk Management.
  7. Try playing the movies on Windows Player. The fact that your SSD is only half full/empty makes no difference. If it is a HDD that could be causing problems so defrag it. Those thingies are called USB sticks, but you need USB3 not 2 , and a reputable make to do it.
  8. The quality also depends on where the 4k movie came from, your Graphics card and other hardware on your PC. And of course, your monitor screen. One UHD monitor is not the same as another. Compare Samsung & TCL.
  9. https://www.stellarinfo.com/blog/6-methods-to-play-4k-ultra-hd-video-in-vlc-player/#:~:text=For many users%2C switching the,DirectX (DirectDraw) video output.
  10. Glary Utilities also scans the Registry when a programme is uninstalled.
  11. Two things to try. Copy one of the movies causing a crash onto your C Drive and disconnect the D drive. Play that movie to see if still happens Or try watching during the day!
  12. My instinct says IN, then OUT, repeat without stopping. 555 Slowly IN for 8 seconds, hold for 4, then OUT through my gob for 7 seconds seems to work for me, drops my first morning BP by up to 10 points.
  13. What makes it better than VLC please?
  14. My son in Dubai runs a 5l Nissan Stupid. Costs him Bht 16.77 per km to run!
  15. Let's do it for someone without solar, charging from PEA at about Bht 4 per kWh unit.
  16. So how much does it cost, per kilometre, to run your EV please? My Vigo averages 12 km / litre at less than Bht 33 per litre = Bht 3 per km.
  17. I thought Dee was for THB to GBP transfers. And Revolut transfers do not show as International if you need that for Immigration Extension purposes. As I said in another post, I did Bht 35k on Monday, arrived, as usual, at 14.05pm Tuesday as International
  18. You do not mention the cost of charging your EV. And the safety issue, Vigo vs Chinese EV.
  19. In English, timber is the word for any processed wood, and the word used as a tree is felled.
  20. Transfer day 1, arrived day 2 at 14.05pm, as usual.
  21. You know that I meant fossil fuels. Pedantic Pib!
  22. So can you charge a car which has the rectifier gobbins built into the car from a DC station? Need to know as I am thinking down the EV path. And does a self charging hybrid run only on petrol?
  23. Please explain to me, what does 11 or 22Kw charging mean. Thanks.
  24. Yes, you are correct. BYD next week.
