UK Travel Insurance policies do not recognise the legal right to ride a motorcycle in Thailand ? (i.e. they dont recognise a Thai licence ?)

The original post is wrong - Atourist can drive and / or ride in Thailand on their UK Driving Licence or UK Motorcycle Licence (they obviously can’t ride on their driving licence)....

I thought also req international driving permit. With is easily obtained in uk

What we see here is mostly scooter/motorcycle accidents. A recent go fund me for £200,000 - really??? ????

Stupid to rent a bike anywhere in the world without at least a helmet.

Stupid of any country to allow bikes to be rented without providing a helmet.

Stupid of any police force not to fine idiots with no helmet.

Props is most UK insurances only cover if you have UK license (even having a Thai 1 doesn't cut it with UK insurance,I ask several companies) a lot do not haves licences for motorbike and as stated in original post UK licence does not cover you under Thai law

Ah.  You can turn them off.

Click the drop down arrow next to your profile pic on the top right; click "account settings"; under "overview" on the left click "signature"; then you'll see a toggle switch under "view signatures" in the list of options which you can click.  Once the toggle is to the left and is grey, you should no longer see signatures.

Edit: even easier, you can click the arrow to the right of the signature and an option to hide signatures appears, click that.

    Thanks done

  5. if you look after the bacteria in the tank . you shouldn't have to empty a septic tank. font use chemicals to clean toilets , good idea to clean then ( toilets) is to put coke down then leave over night, helps the bacteria grow. also add more bacteria every few months. good tip to give the new packets a good start before you flush em down the loo is to put em in a bucket of water with a few bits of chicken, leave in a dark place for 24hrs then flush

Done this in January and also last month.

Must upload travel history (scan of stamps in passport). Bank statements. Proof of residency (council tax bill). Wife's ID. Invitation letter from wife. Photo with applicant holding passport open on biometrics page. Got eVisa around 2-3 days later.

does the picture holding passport replace recent picture of yourself or do they require this aswell. thanks

I've been hearing stories like that since I first hit Samui in mid-1997. hard to know if it's an urban myth or legit. but I was told so many different stories by many different people about such things so I'm tending towards the latter.

agreed samui since 2002 , in old days most prop . now seriously doubt it . but still RTP mafia on samui still just as useless and corrupt
