  1. There is a free clinic at Saint Louis Hospital Fridays from 6 - 8 PM.

    http://www.saintloui....php?dept_id=32

I am not sure how much they offer by way of diagnostics, but it's worth a shot.

It is outpatient care only and pretty basic. if it turns out you need inpatient care or anything extensive, you may have to somehow find a way to get back to your home country, although you can discuss with the hospital. I think they have a foundation which assists with the hospital bills of indigent patients (office on 1st floor) although an application by a farang on a tourist visa is likely to raise eyebrows.

Longer term, you do need to get yourself sorted out in terms of means of support and provision for health care. even the government hospitals expect to get paid.

Thank you but I looked at the site you posted here and saw nothing on the site about free clinic on Fridays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

When I click on that site it takes me to a page that is in French. I'm Canadian but not French Canadian. However I looked at all of the site in English and still could not find this free clinic part?

Sheryl's advise is spot on TBG - her link looks fine but like you it took me to the wrong page. Here's the info from the page:

Good luck with getting yourself treated and sorting things out.

  2. Great news IF true

Especially the Australia Network. February would be just in time for the new AFL season too... :jap:

Australia Network is available on Sophon Cable in Pattaya and I have seen it in hotels in bangkok so there must be a cable service there with it.

Cost of Sophon is 1,500 Baht a year.

Not sure of Sophon in Bangkok PattayaParent but I have checked and none of the Bangkok cable services are available where I live (Kallaprapruk Road). I am also not able to get a direct satellite feed of Australia Network as there's a building in my line of sight with the satellite.

So TrueVisions carrying Australia Network would be my best option at this stage. Although based on some of the posts above I am not getting my hopes up!

  3. I was lucky enough to stumble across a video stream at the start of the game that was near faultless. On my 46" TV there was minimal pixelation and the sound was as clear as the real thing. Buffering was minimal too.

Sadly, this appears to be the only way to watch these games here. Why TrueSport don't pick up on these events is beyond me. They show local rugby games live from time to time so they clearly accept there's a market for rugby.

  4. I took a look around there yesterday - it's a nice center with a lot of work still to be done.

I found it hard to find the entrance to the place as the main entrances are still a work-in-progress but eventually followed a few other people in through the car park.

The Villa is massive. It also looks like they have a number of new concepts in there like a Cider Bar (which I am told are very popular in Japan). They also have a bigger selection of goods across all parts of the store which makes it really interesting just to stroll around and have a browse.

  5. I'd recommend you guys apply for a Central Card which is a Mastercard.

I filled out the paperwork and applied a couple of years ago and they rang me looking for some additional information and to also advise me that I would need to pay a deposit. I told them I wasn't interested in doing that and hung expecting that to be the end of the matter.

A credit card in my name turned up a week later with a credit limit equivalent to my monthly salary - no deposit required.

    Good luck.

  6. BTW, I'm an Eagles supporter and wish we were getting

another game as I'm not looking forward to the pain :)

You might just enjoy this one Will - I have a feeling the Eags will be up for this one!

BTW - I am a WC supporter too.

Back on topic - just be thankful you can get Australia Network - I've just moved to a new place and there's no clear line to the required satellite! And none of the cable companies are here yet (Kallaprapreuk Road). Doh!

  7. Moved to a new place on Kallaprapreuk Road a few weeks ago & was disappointed that I couldn't pick up 3G on my True iPhone.

Noticed yesterday that not only was 3G now available but the mobile reception had improved out of sight too! Can now use the phone on all floors of our new town home. :)

    Well done True!

  8. I am with ya brother. It was my source of Aussie Rules football but the whole site is blocked for me now - has been for just under 2 weeks. I am in Bangkok and using TOT and all I can get is the ICT message.

  9. Can anyone point me in the right direction with respect to working out which cable companies are available to me in Bangkok?

We're just about to move into our new townhome and I need to make sure I'll have my Aussie Rules! :)

    TIA.

  10. I'm sorry to hear of your situation and hope things work for the best. A couple things spring immediately to mind. 1) HE may be a member of this forum and maybe you shouldn't give any details that might allow him to identify you or himself. 2) You should probably make copies of those letters you found. 3) In what little time you have before you return to work maybe you could make arrangements for someone to document her infidelity in your absence. Again, sorry for your circumstances.

    Good advice above.

Sorry for your situation OP - you definitely should be trying not to communicate with her today if you've had a few - it can only get ugly and you will probably regret it.

16 years is a helluva long time as other posters have said. Talk through the situation with her in a calm & reasonable fashion once you have got your thoughts & affairs together and you may be surprised by both what she tells you and the final outcome.

    I wish you well.
