TAT finally see it ... only took a world wide plague though to bump it into consideration.

Due to Trump's shortcomings and errors, he will probably be voted out the next time round but you can't compare him to the Chinese leader and he certainly won't be voted out anything soon. It is only the double standards of the western leaders and the greed of business that allows this awful regime to prosper and perpetuate itself despite the most outrageous infractions of all that is right and acceptable.

Better close the Guardian newspaper too as that was founded off the profits of the cotton trade.

All xenophobic Thais or those with an axe to grind are encouraged to call the 1187 snitch line because we the cops can't really be bothered to be too proactive. Our new slogan is "Call the snitch line and save us time."

These two sum up all that is contemptible with modern society. Can't stand their self-righteous virtue signalling entitled nonsense ... so shallow and image driven and would sell their best friends out over a post that wasn't good for their social media business.

Only a moron would think it's anyone other than the Chinese. The Chinese have realised that their illusion has slipped recently and now are reverting to their tried and tested measures of threats, bullying, theft and cyber attacks ... not to mention their diplomats that now mouth-off all the time like a bunch of fascists. The world is waking up to the vileness of this awful regime and all heartless dictatorships revert to the same tactics once they are rumbled. The truth has outed and they don't like it.

Can't read 572 pages of this thread so don't know if it has been said before on here, but there are three possibilities on this one and they are a) there is God b) there are aliens or c) there's both. Nothing happens without reason and faith is a personal thing that works for many. It is hard to comprehend the universe in it's massiveness but it seems like it's existence is somewhat unlikely without some motivating force of some nature. What you believe in floats your boat and helps you to operate and rationalize so it's horses-for-courses, I guess. Whether it goes deeper and these ancient books and texts etc. are indeed correct has perplexed the minds of the best brains for a very long time. I guess there is no definitive answer either way, just maybes ... but that's the whole point of faith and if it was proven one way or another then the idea would change/fail which is not what's supposed to happen.
I certainly believe in good and evil and that seems to depend on your point of view and where you come from, otherwise there wouldn't be so much discourse and hate in the world. Religion has certainly been abused and used for certain nefarious ends by some less than virtuous types but that doesn't mean that it's wrong or doesn't exist ... just that it's truth has be lost and corrupted. If belief/faith helps you live your life in a way that is positive to you and those around you, then OK. If it consumes you to the point where you are killing, enslaving, destroying others and using it as an excuse to spread hate/negativity etc. then you have failed and deserve justice. Funny thing is, if you believe in God then you also have to believe there is a Devil around and there sure seems like he is around these days and it is often said that the Devil's greatest trick is to convince people that he doesn't exist. As for the alien thing, then most credible scientists believe it is simply impossible for there not to be life elsewhere considering the size of the universe ... even if just haven't found it yet (or they haven't told us yet).

Cheap Chinese tat ... can't beat the Japanese companies at the motor game over here as they are just light years in front ... on all fronts. I suppose the Chinese will stick to their tried and tested methods of "If we can't buy it, then we'll thieve it".

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book has been rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And that process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except the endless present in which the party is always right." (George Orwell)
Starting to look a little like this these days.

It is noticeable how no-one seems to be complaining about how black police in Africa treat blacks with their brutality and crackdowns (remember the massacre at the gold/mineral mine in South Africa), especially the SA or the Nigerian police and so on, which make the EU/US cops look like boy scouts ... but of course that's OK as there is only racism in majority white western countries. How about calling out countries like Thailand where they openly racially profile foreigners on stereotypical judgement with things like Operation Black Eagle etc? Maybe the Indian police's brutality too? I guess though that it doesn't fit the narrative of some.
I would hardly call the UK police racist as they are barely allowed to do anything anymore ... although, it's thought and speech crime division is flourishing and overactive.

While it is true that this man should have done some research and been more cautious and realistic, I find some of the comments a little too contemptuous and toxic on here. If the boot was on the other foot and this happened in "The West" to some disabled guy there would be PC outrage and lengthy jail terms for the perps plus fury at victim blaming. However, here in the Land of Delusion it seems perfectly OK to condemn the disabled guy instead of the fraudulent criminals who should be tracked down and made to answer for their misdeeds instead of just passing it off as "the norm" for Thais as there will be plenty of Thais that disagree. The heartlessness and contempt of some of the replies on here is remarkable. Just because he was naive doesn't mean he should be ripped off ... like also, just because someone had a beer doesn't mean that they should die in an altercation/accident when they nonchalantly say there was alcohol in their system as if it was a good reason for the outcome ... hmmm.

A few things to mention here regardless of the sensitivities of some as it needs saying. Firstly, the cop involved in this incident should be done for manslaughter as I doubt he vindictively intended to kill the guy. Secondly, the guy that died had recreational drugs in his system according to the coroner's autopsy ... so lots of bets are off here, especially if he had underlying conditions to boot too. Thirdly, it is not now about this guy's death, the rioting and looting is just an excuse for anarchy and getting a new large screen TV as usual with these types, plus it's been high-jacked by the lefty bleeding hearts agenda brigade. As far as I'm concerned, these people lost all legitimacy once they started a wanton orgy of violence and disorder. Looters should be shot as looting and lawlessness is not the answer. Society has become far too feral now everywhere.

Well, regardless of what you think of Trump, I personally don't mind seeing these vexatious social media monsters being reeled in somewhat. They are little more than a catalyst for all the worst traits within us such as vanity, self-delusion, faux self-righteousness, vindictiveness, shameless grandstanding et al whilst giving every <deleted> moron a platform to spread bile that hardly deserves one. They are the work of the Beast.

Pretty bad when you have to set up a special council for breathing ... says it all.

The fascist government are just taking a lead from their Chinese masters and copying others as a way out of this crisis because they haven't a clue. You can see it and this Big Brother fascist tracking nonsense is straight out of communist China's handbook ... bet it's a Chinese software app that they've been given, just been rebranded, as nothing made here could possibly work in such a short space of time. Bet the Chinese government has access to the tracking info through a back door in the software for future reference.

The never ending fascist nonsense from China keeps on going. Hopefully, the rest of the world will grow a spine and wake up to it's evil empire expansion. China even gets a pass from ISIS. It is very hypocritical of the west to wag it's finger at so many but when it comes to China, it's like ... "Ah-hu-hum" cough cough (clear your throat noise) followed by "Errrm, now, moving on."

I guess the profession doesn't exist until the big boys get off work and need a soapy before meeting the wife for dinner ... or want to meet the gik once a week at their place of choosing. Guess the girls really have to be creative when filling in the forms for government help ... as the truth has never helped anyone here.

Don't know about anyone else but I'd not even consider flying Thai Airways ... no way, when it is over rated and over priced with moody cabin crew. I fly EVA every time and it's way out in front on all things ... Emirates is good too but I feel it's a little pricey.

The malls are a magnet for Thais of all sorts. Why? I reckon it is deeply related to wonderment, personal fashion projection statements and, of course, face (although the second two are very intertwined with each other). For the locals, how better to project your cosmopolitan urban success story (or the perceived image of thus) than being in a mall enjoying, and more importantly being seen to, all they have to offer and that this is the norm for you? There are also many that just wander around gawping at the bright lights and goods in the air-con in wonderment but spend nothing other than at the food court, which in itself is a decent day out for the poorer end family and relatives. Also, it's worth noting that this can be found nowhere else all in one place really, quite so easily, and it wasn't so long ago that this sort of stuff was only in the big places or tourist centers ... thus many are still not used to it and malls possess still a certain novelty for many. Although, the "look at me in my modern life" and the fact I've got enough money to sit around places like Black Canyon living the enviable life (for Thais at least) probably does go a way to fueling this obsession (along with a few other things) of these 5 star markets. There is a great driving force for the locals to be modern, cosmopolitan and enjoy a western stylized lifestyle ... or at least to be seen to.

They've got your phone number, entering it is part of the check-in process, they can call you ????
Hahah yeah, and you'll have to repeatedly keep giving them your same phone number each time ... rather like immigration, who have had my same number for 20 years now but still insist on having it again each time, even though they have never called me.

Well, at least the tourists are still alive having spent so much time there on that island.

Thailand is mostly anti free competition anyhow and monopolies/cartels are the name of the game here. Nothing different on this one ... as soon as the bloated native corporate monsters are threatened then the government will serve their purposes and strangle innovative competition in this sort of way, plus the finger-wagging killjoy anti-fun squad will be all behind it which these lot in charge currently are fully signed-up members. All you have to ask is who benefits from this ... elite brewing families, follow the money instead of listening to the lame pathetic excuses they come up with.
