What would I miss if true V is stopped?
Nothing at all. Overpriced for better free stuff available from many sources on Android.

Around 1:15 pm driving to Patong, amazed to see a pick-up on its roof at the exit of the Caltex gas station in Kathu, does anyone have any idea how the driver managed to pull such an amazing feat?
I should have stopped for a photo. Anyone have a picture?

Agree a good multimeter should be great and no need to pay for a Fluke. I have this model which is fully automatic and very well insulated and wires are internal so no chance of short at connectors/meter and points are also very small and well protected. It has worked very well for me in the 2 or 3 years I have been using it. About 500 baht but a lot safer than the 1-200 baht models.

I have friends here from various countries, none of us complain About our wifes. They are all great happy girls taking amazing care of us.
Complaining be coming for bar flies mainly I would think.
Yes Aussies when pi##ed say rubbish in bars and a bbqs in Aust about their wifes.
Mainly because they unhappy with their situation.
Living in Thailand with a great Thai wife is living the dream in paradise.
So complainers could get rid of their Thai wife go to a western country and marry a 50 plus woman with more baggage than a Golf tour group. Spend the rest of their life in hell.

So why do farangs (most) complain about their wife's or girlfriends all the time
no matter what topic is posted. Most expats complain about their x wife's or
Thai wife's don't you think it might be your fault some times? I was married
for 30 years, never had any problems till I fell in love with a Thai girl. I was the
guilty part getting divorced. Now I am married for another 15 years and can't
complain about women at all. You have to take some responsibilities or blame
for your self. And no I am not a women.

Chinese pioneers. Got to admire them, 14 days quarantine and being avoided like they have the plague.
They could easily visited many fantastic places in there own country, but being pioneers choose to venture in to the unknown.
Could make a good tv soapie.

Sad when anyone dies, guess this time lucky concrete barrier and not a heap of other vehicles.
I was involved in transport industry for 40 years and never had a vehicle with brake failure.
Guess they don't make them like they used to 8n past.

Make law all buses, trucks and fuel tankers stop at every unmarked or uncontrolled railway crossing.
Dreaming that will never work.

Correct Pib easy.
Only issue would be if married overseas and no translated copy of marriage certificate on hand.
I was lucky already had it for my wife to change name on passport previously.
Follow that list easy as could be, immigration in Chiang Mai suggested I change to marriage extension on my O-A visa last year.
Changed in August this year.
Now just keep wifey happy and no Visa problems.

Definitely no insurer OA marriage extension. Done it in August in Chiang Mai without a hitch.
I changed from retirement to marriage.
I was going change to O but the helpful IO suggested just "change extension.

Agent quoted me 7900 but being an Aussie with a Scottish name done it myself.
You will still need to go there with you wife regardless 2 time. 6000 for doing the photo copies.
Tale missus out 5 times for that.
She really appreciate.

Tokay will solve problem. But turns be bigger.

Certainly crazy car prices here. My friend in Australia just took delivery of top of range fully optioned Non turbo Honda Civic made in Thailand. This was brand new and he had to wait 2 months to get colour.
Price A$26000 which converts to 572000 baht.
Same car here would be 900.000 plus and would have less options.
So does the manufacturer get the extra 300,000baht to subsidise exports or is it government taxes?
Maybe the manufacturers just think the Thais are all wealthy.

Phetchabun brake failure: Three tourists in "miracle' escape after pick-up plunges 200 meters down ravine
in Central Thailand
Posted
I had 12 taxis for many years.
I used to do my own servicing.
Never ever had brake failure.
Approximately 20,000,000kms.
Must be thai drivers or low quality made vehicles.
For brakes to fail would have be poor quality master cylinders or disc calipers. Brakes don't fail completely if pads worn.
Booster can fail but you push harder.
They need to stop talking brake failure on Thai made cars or that be another industry moved to Vietnam. If so many brake failures are true with we know is bs would make manufacturers libel to group legal claims.
Would be speed inattention and I don't care.
