Around 1:15 pm  driving to Patong, amazed to see a pick-up on its roof at the exit of the Caltex gas station in Kathu, does anyone have any idea how the driver managed to pull such an amazing feat?

I should have stopped for a photo. Anyone have a picture?

Easy he experienced Thai pickup driver and was after lunchtime.

    Sorry no pics.

Agree a good multimeter should be great and no need to pay for a Fluke.  I have this model which is fully automatic and very well insulated and wires are internal so no chance of short at connectors/meter and points are also very small and well protected.  It has worked very well for me in the 2 or 3 years I have been using it.   About 500 baht but a lot safer than the 1-200 baht models.

So why do farangs (most) complain about their wife's or girlfriends all the time

no matter what topic is posted. Most expats complain about their x wife's or

Thai wife's don't you think it might be your fault some times? I was married

for 30 years, never had any problems till I fell in love with a Thai girl. I was the

guilty part getting divorced. Now I am married for another 15 years and can't

complain about women at all. You have to take some responsibilities or blame

for your self. And no I am not a women.

  4. Correct Pib easy.

Only issue would be if married overseas and no translated copy of marriage certificate on hand.

I was lucky already had it for my wife to change name on passport previously.

Follow that list easy as could be, immigration in Chiang Mai  suggested I change to marriage extension on my O-A visa last year.

    Changed in August this year.

Now just keep wifey happy and no Visa problems.

  5. Certainly crazy car prices here. My  friend in Australia just took delivery of top of range fully optioned Non turbo Honda Civic made in Thailand. This was brand new and he had to wait 2 months to get colour.

Price A$26000 which converts to 572000 baht.

Same car here would be 900.000 plus and would have less options.

So does the manufacturer get the extra 300,000baht to subsidise exports or is it government taxes?

Maybe the manufacturers just think the Thais are all wealthy.
