Stop feeding them so much.

It is not that I don’t like Thai food but I like my own cooking at least two or three times a week. Last night I made a pork loin stew with vegetables and fried rice. I put a pot on about 2 in the afternoon and add things to it over the next 4 hours or so as the mood strikes me.

Since I have been in the restaurant business all of my life I find it impossible to cook for one or two and normally cook for at least 12. The vegetables and rice and noodles are cheap anyway.

Since I cook outdoors on my balcony the smell seems to draw them like bears to honey.

I take out a couple of portions for myself and then throw in a handful of hot peppers and they think I am some kind of new wave Thai chef.

I have noticed they are getting a little chunky. But if I stop cooking for them God knows what they will ask for. The mind boggles. I have suggested they go to a disco for exercise and pick up some desperate Farangs but they just laugh and tell me to get back into the kitchen.

I did manage to get them to Spicy one night but we ended up going home with my girls, three lady boys and two drunk Brit chicks who thought I was Elton John. It must have been the tu tu I was wearing.

Now that was rich.

2 weeks and I still haven't been able to contact my friend in Phuket. Are international calls even more impossible with this system dilemma?

TIT. A person's worth and success appears to be based on bling & flossing. In the USA, unless you're some rapper or sportstar, Most millionaire$ that I know wear nothing more than their college ring and a nice watch. I keep my $ in the bank, stocks, and RE, earning more $ for me rather than wearing it for show.

Let's just sum it up by saying that Pattaya has something for everyone, whether you're a sexpat, a loyal family man, and anywhere between the 2. It's as flexible as you are!

My next stint (2nd) in Pattaya will be for at least 1 month. Housekeeping aside, is it more feasible to rent a furnished condo/apartment or hotel? Anyone who's done both, your input would be greatly appreciated.

May I at this juncture `do a Jai Dee` and state quite categorically that I have no affiilation whatsoever with this particular den and have never visited these premises......Hey! Ho!

There was this street vendor around Baboona Hotel on the beach-side of the Road who made this killer grilled chicken as well as papaya salad. 100 baht with sticky rice...I was in heaven! Since back in NYC, I wake up every other morning craving for it. Sure beats an bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich which costs the same amount of money here.

People even say this about New York City (where in Manhattan most residents don't own cars, now that is weird).

Parking in Manhattan runs as high as $600 a month and gas is almost $4 a gallon. I live within a 20 minute walk of work and Chinatown, too! Combine that with a decent mass transit system, a car is purely a luxury, moreso an unnecessary headache for the Manhattanite.

If you get on a baht bus to Jomtien, it takes you right past it. On the bend before you hit the beach. Inside the complex there are only 2 or 3 bars (that i know of) that are for heterosexuals, the rest are for the guys who like guys, if you get the drift. Outside of the complex i think they are all for the men on the lookout for ladies.

On the right as you walk in the complex is Blue Room, then Las Vegas, bit further down on the left is a small bar forget the name and at the end on the left is El Cyotee or some such name, no more that's it. I know because I always go down that street to have my nose hairs trimmed at the blind massage place.
