It's not getting enough air in the mix tube (carburising flame). It looks old, take the burner out and look, don't be surprised if you find a spider or other bug has built a nest in it. Something is bocking the air from mixing with the gas in the burner tube (after the metering jet.

Thais have never been big on earthing/electrical safety.
There's a reason for earthing - SAFETY - any appliance where metal skins are present which is anything other than all plastic appliances need an EARTH.
Any 3 pin plug will do, just as long as it has the 3rd pin for the earth connection.Of course no 3 pin (earthed) plug will work if there is no earth wiring in the house, good idea to check earthing is continuous through the wall socket.
Also good to insert the earth spikes into wet soil, close to the leach drains is good, a dry earth spike does not work.!
And earth leakage circuit breakers (safety switches) are worth using too.!

Standard procedure, first time it happened to me was at some waterfalls near CM, can't remember the name, and I wouldn't object if it was going to support there upkeep, but I'm sure it's just pocketed.
They are even charging farangs (tourists) entry into some popular temples now. -
Although I've never been there Krabi comes highly recommended.
The north is good too but no ocean beeches.
Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Chiang rai, Mae sai, Udon Thani, Nongbaulampu, Nong Khai, probably anywhere out of BKK would be OK with the exception of Phuket and Pattaya.
Doi Tung and Doi Inthanon are lovely when it's stinking hot on the plains.

Done this trip maybe a dozen times, never been asked to show one, doesn't mean to say they won't.
Airasia don't care if you've got a one way or return ticket, and I don't think immigration do either.- 1

Overstayed 1 day last November (2017).
Immigration at Chiang mai airport made a big hullabaloo, got me sign an official report and put an overstay stamp in my passport.
Came back to Thailand (Don Muang) this November, Immigration saw the stamp, ignored it and stamped my passport 30 days as usual.
Probably depends on who you get, but I don't think I'd risk it.

The silver spit is probably a mk11 (later WW2 production) 3 blade prop, whereas the one at the Thai airforce museum looks like a post ww2 (1946) mk22 or mk24, 6 blade prop.!
