  1. I have to say Im very impressed with the government hospital here in Phuket, I went to see the doctor yesterday evening I recieved a call the day before so I already knew my number in the que (8) It wasn't so busy yesterday, that's the only problem it gets mobbed, I'm told it's the biggest hospital in the south of Thailand, so they come from all over to here. I always have my wife with me, and the charges are reasonable, Yesterday I came away with 3 months medication, the cost is Thai price, we do have a couple of friends who are pharmacist and they said they are good drugs for a good price, Not like them International hospitals 10x the price, obscene prices, My wife insist I have a cup of Encore everyday ok that's fine, but believe it or not the cheapest place on the island we have found to buy it, is the hospital the government one, how good is that? Another big ripoff at the hospitals is blood test, Im not saying any names which place is 3500 baht, we found a clinic just a normal blood test was only 250 baht, the one I needed for yesterday was to check cholesterol was 550 baht, just pickup the result and take it to the hospital with you, I would recommend Vachira hospital in Phuket to anyone,
  2. You dont see any in the UK and they are worse

  5. All them North African countries who migrated to France, are nothing but trouble, Tunisia and Algeria, they have to apply for a visa to get into Thailand,
  6. The information is a bit vague, no details o what happened, Even the NI news outlets dont give anything away,

  8. Governments around the world are tightening rules on short-term rentals to address local challenges. Here are the latest updates: Athens: The city has introduced a one-year freeze on new short-term rental permits. The goal is to ease housing affordability issues and find a better balance between tourism and community needs. Egypt: The government is looking to formalize the STR market with stricter rules. Plans include mandatory licensing and a 14% VAT on rental income to ensure better tax compliance and oversight. Alicante: Over in Spain, Alicante has introduced a two-year ban on new holiday rental licenses in certain neighborhoods. This measure is designed to tackle housing shortages and reduce the pressure of tourism on local communities. These updates highlight how cities and countries are working to balance the needs of residents and tourists while addressing housing and affordability concerns.

  12. If you go into Sizzler for a salad it's not Free, I think at the weekends its 199 baht, week days is cheaper then they cut down on the choices, but you can have as much as you want,
  13. I latched on to that in Phuket airport years ago when they first opened a Burger King, they have never had a penny out of me for years, Last year when my family arrived I went to meet them and they wanted drinks, ok wait lets get the minivan loaded and there is a 7/11 a mile of 2 down the road we'll get from there,
  14. I wonder how much she got paid to collect the parcels? Idiot
  15. I was in a Subway recently and we paid when we ordered, before she made it, Same with lots of them shops like Amazon you pay when you order, not sure about Starbucks,
  16. I watched this on the Thai TV news channel yesterday I'm not sure who's right and who's wrong here, Subway showed the order item by item apart from the footlong it says she ordered triple this and triple that, the question Im asking why would someone order that much food knowing they were about to get on a plane?, Was something lost in translation here, the staff didn't understand what she said and she didn't understand what the staff said, Obviously we don't know what was said from the start of ordering only her gobbing it off, Anyway that was a lot of food to order, I went in a Subway recently in central I only ordered a normal one with xtra bacon, it was enough, All I can think of she must be a right pig, Sometimes the staff are thick did they not think it was unusual her ordering that much?
