  1. Arrest all those dam farangs. Everyone knows that Thais don't smoke weed
  2. Was this before, or after, he was abducted by aliens 👽???
  3. Yes. I believe that in the near future, VN will have many more expats and retirees than Thailand.
  4. Savannaket might be your best bet. But have a plan B in case of failure.
  5. I think that it depends on the individual immigration office as to whether or not the child has to accompany you for a 60 day extension. This is what I am on and do several of these extensions. Frequently they don't care about you bringing your child along with you. Occasionally they do. I do need my daughter's Thai ID card, which has the same address as mine, as well as some kind of proof that she is actually living with me. Documents from school take care of that requirement.
  6. Well, the women have blonde pubes. That's always nice.
  7. Gives these going nowhere young males something to do. And a surprising number of them acquire very good looking girlfriends/wife's.
  8. Time for the Big Jokester to partake in some extended international travel. He can ask Thaksin and his little sister for some pointers.
  9. Get away from the Manila area, and the Philippines becomes much nicer.
  10. So Bob, can you fix it ?
  11. If he has the cash, they will find a way.
  12. Kim Jones replied to Mika78's topic in General Topics
Yes, it's enough. Take the job.
  13. I remember when Nana Plaza was just getting going. Only a few bars and mostly legitimate businesses. Several restaurants and travel agents on ground level. A couple of beauty parlors. Big parking lot. Snooker hall along the whole side of the third floor. Different times back then for sure. I always looked forward to reading Trink's column.
  14. Wonder what the age cut off is? Will my 10 year old daughter be eligible?
  15. Surat doesn't offer much for foreigners. It's dominated by it's close proximity to the islands. Wealth from the islands tends to inflate land prices. Mostly a transit town.
  16. As a multi year expat here, it's definitely my feeling that almost all Thais dislike farang. For a variety of reasons. I don't let it bother me.
  17. This is just the tip of the iceberg here. I hope they clear them all out.
  18. I will second what One More Farang said. Lots of lookers in Buri Ram.
  19. Nothing. Only if you have a minor child who has been registered at the US Embassy and is a US citizen. Then that child would receive approximately half of what your benefit was until the age of 18.
  20. Typical here in Thailand . Thais too lazy and don't care. Very sad.
  21. Sirineou gave you some good answers. Other possible trips could include Chaing Mai in the North. Nong Khai in the Northeast. And Hat Yai in the South. Definitely go to at least one of the islands. Which one could depend on the time of year and your interests. The ancient capitals of Sukothai and Ayutthaya are also worthwhile.
  22. I honestly believe that Phuket is the very last place I would ever choose to live in Thailand. Even beneath Pattaya, but only by a wisker.
  23. Check to see if there are any Warmshowers hosts in your area. These people will often store a bicycle for you. I'm a Warmshowers host in Trang, and I often keep bicycles here while people go out to visit the islands.
