Hi Iam looking for a quick return to Thailand after a 14 month stay on TR with 6 covid extensions (plus 9 day overstay). Iam looking to come back after a month away. I know that returning via the BKK airports will be hard for entry. I am thinking how about entering via Chiang Mai on another TR. Additionally, whilst applying for a TR has anyone used those prepaid flight tickets to do the visa and if so, any recommendations? Anyone has experience on a quick return after being in Thailand for so long?

For TR Visa has anyone used one of those sites to purchase a ticket but not actually paid for the flight to get the visa? If so, which one does one recommend? -
How to return to Bangkok

Just been on facebook community and lots of scaremongering so I am unsure about going into Bangkok especially after just leaving there for being there 14 months -
Hi All I had to rush back to UK due to some financial issues and I was in Bangkok for 14 months from Tourist Visa and 5-6 Covid Extensions. I overstayed by 9 days as i had some personal issues in which i couldnt go to immigration and it was too late by then so at the airport I paid the 4500 fine. Now back in UK, I need to back to Bangkok in May. Iam looking at potential ways of going back. Is there anyone there with an idea on how to get back? I dont have family or children in Bangkok. I just wish to go for a couple of months and then back. I am hearing denials at Bangkok and Phuket for quick returns. I am potentially looking at trying to get a TR visa here in London and then fly to Chiang Mai before going to Bangkok. Is this viable option?

Covid extension
pantsonfire replied to Kevinphall's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Anyone recently got a Covid Extension at CW? I mean for people who been here since Jan 2021? I want to get one last extension before going back to the UK. My last one i presented a flight ticket and got the extension. However, i will change that flight to a later date due to Omicom. So wondering if anyone managed to get one? I came on Tourist Visa -
Has anyone managed to get a covid extension since last time proving that you had an onward flight? Ive been here since 8th jan and was due to fly back to uk 23rd. However, with omicorn so bad in uk, i was wondering if i can get anofher covid extension at CW. It be my 6th if i do. Obviously i will show a return flight. Any experiences recently would greatly be appreciated

Iam just repeating my experience. They were analysing the ticket and i dont know why, just reading the date, the location etc. Then after asked for a copy (perhaps a bad print out) They didnt check the flight status, maybe just bad english that they couldnt read it. AseanNow hasnt been flooded and not sure why, but the FB forum is flooded with same experience i had. I didnt see anyone asked to speak to advisor, the observations i noticed 1. One Chinese American was asked to come back on Monday, he was saying he could book ticket now but was asked to come back and he complained why didnt anyone tell him. He had about 3 IO around him that time. 2. An old guy with thai wife was speaking to another officer and he was booking a ticket then. His thai wife was helping to speak to the IO. 3. Another guy was sitting and waiting, an IO asked to see his passport and said the same thing to me, that hes been here too long and asked for a return ticket. He said he have one. 4. Another guy was asked the same thing and he didnt have a return ticket, but by that time i was told to go to the counter. 5. Some others were doing 30 day extensions.

Yes i ticked no embassy letter available. They didnt even review that form. Just came to me sitting down asked for what my ticket number is. I was #9 and it was on #5, she asked for my passport and saw my tourist visa that i came here from 8th Jan and said long time, do you have return ticket. As i was in the counter when officer was reviewing my documents, someone got turned away and he was saying why didnt anyone tell him that needed a return ticket blah blah (agree with him). I only booked a return flight because i saw on FB forum many others were asked the same thing.

I went to CW, got my ticket for J counter. I was sitting outside and waiting. Then an officer came and asked for my passport and checked my covid extensions. Said oh you been here long time. Thailand is open can go home. I had said nothing at all and then she said do you have return ticket. Same conversion happened with other people waiting to be seen. Some others had no return flight tickets booked and they didnt get called to go in to the counter.

Flight out of BKK. They wanted to see proof of a flight out of BKK. I already had one booked for 23rd January. They spent about 5-10 minutes looking at the confirmation flight out. Then requested to see a recipet and how much i paid. Other people were booking on the spot. Some were asked to come back another day.

I am on tourist visa since 8th Jan 2021. I have applied for 4/5 covid extensions and today i went to CW to get another. I can CONFIRM they asked for a return ticket. I saw others frantically buying a ticket straight away. My officer even requested a receipt of the ticket. The officer said stay here long time, Thailand is open do you have a return ticket. Some others got turned away because they wasnt aware of a return flight ticket required for Covid Extension. My covid runs out on 24th Nov and manage to get it extended now to 23rd Jan

I got my first jab yesterday at MedPark Hospital. Iam under 50 and got Pfizer. My next jab is on 30th Sept. Process at Medpark was very smooth and waited altogether to finish no longer than 1 hour. Upon arrival, theres a clear sign for those wanting vaccine and then at the entrance they see your passport to check your appointment and then given a number. Once inside your seated down and numbers are being called, whilst during that time nurses are taking your blood pressure, weight and height. When the number is announced you go to a desk and fill in some questionnaire form and then go straight to the jab booth. I wasnt asked for a choice of Vaccine, they simply said Pfizer. I heard some Thais were getting Sinovac. After the jab, you are required to sit for 30 minutes and waiting for your name being called out and blood pressure is taken. Then you are presented with your 2nd appointment form. All smooth process. I had registered https://expatvac.consular.go.th/

Relaxing curfew will make outside bars pretend to be restaurants and then continue to illegal sell inside a KTV room. Seen it many times
