Ahh I didn't know they had Decathalon in Thailand - DC is the standard go to for an affordable, decent bike in the UK. I'll have a look there, thanks!

Afternoon one and all.
I'm after getting a cheap ish mountain bike for short bike rides around where I live. Don't need anything serious, looking to spend 5000 baht. There's load on Lazada, but there all brands I've never heard and I don't know what the quality would be like. Brands like Maximus, Gorilla,
Any idea on these for example?

There's a good group on Facebook for identifying pretty much anything in Thailand; birds, insects, snakes etc
Pretty interesting to just follow as well, some really cool and amazing stuff in this country!

(If American, don't bother with the copied US version - nowhere near as hard-hitting or funny).
I disagree, the original is definitely the best, but the US Office is also very funny. Michael and Dwight especially

Get some Omeprazole from the pharmacy - does wonders for my gerd. If it helps than its probably gerd. If it does nothing that it might be something else more serious. But more than likely gerd.

Just use Grab, a lot cheaper. About 200 baht Lamai to Chaweng - a taxi would charge 500-600
But yeah, it is amazing that she asked if you wanted the meter. Maybe the Taxi Mafia are changing for the better ????- 2

I live on Samui too but order from Siamburis/Expat Foods Thailand (link below). They are very good, decent prices, loads of stock, proper bacon and black pudding etc. If you order frozen stuff the shipping is a bit more because they use a proper container and dry ice so the stuff actually stays frozen. I like playing with the dry ice after I get my stuff hahaha. Delivery is never more than 2 days and usally comes in 24 hours. Very good service.

Hi, thanks for the advice. That sounds fun targeting Barracuda that way!
Actually after posting this I realised the local fish market would be a good place to get baits of all types, and tesco even does frozen mackerel and stuff.
I'm wanting to try long distance beach casting fishing over a sandy bottom off Lamai beach to see what I can pick up - if anything.

Hi guys
I'm getting a beach casting setup together but I'm struggling to find any baits. Does anyone know of a decent bait supplier that can deliver frozen?

Sorry for the late replies guys. I've gonna get one from the UK I reckon and get it sent over. Picked up a One X Gold Rush Limited Edition in the mean time off an older guy who bought it, opened it, closed the box and sold it haha. 8,000 baht and it was practically brand new, with an extra controller and two decent games which still had the plastic on etc. Always been an Xbox fan. I've had a PS4 and hardly used it.
Mostly I just want to wait for a proper Next-Gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 instead of a last-gen "enhanced" version. Halo Infinite should be pretty cool - open world Halo. I'm most excited for is a remaster of an older game - Mass Effect haha. My favourite series of all time so really looking forward to playing that through. But mostly I'm just looking forward to things like 60 FPS true 4K, much faster load times etc. I'll get one soon

My Xbox One has just died and I want to replace it with a Series X but I'm struggling to find one. Apart from 2nd hand ones on Facebook Marketplace, does anyone have any ideas or leads?
Thanks in advance

Hello
Apparently there is quite a lengthy post detailing how someone got back into Thailand via Cambodia - but I can't find it?
Can someone post the link here. Thanks -
Hi guys
Due to fly back on Tuesday, and just found the above out. My LV Insurance has been cancelled and local GP Surgery have no idea what I mean or need.
Any ideas please guys -
I'm eligible for a Rep. Ireland passport. If you alternated between two passports each time you got a new visa, would this work or are the 2 passports electronically linked etc?

I'll have an outbound ticket to Vietnam. Going there for two weeks 2nd December and then coming back to the UK for Xmas etc.
I'll be applying at the consulate in Liverpool. Appointment already made. -
I'm going home on the 6th August (UK) and returning to Thailand on the 3rd September. I've bought a return ticket from Samui to UK and back again. When I return it will be on a SETV and I'll have all my docs and money including flight out of Thailand. Can anyone forsee any problems with a return ticket to Thailand? Could they maybe think I'm planning ahead? Or am I just over thinking things again. Thanks

So SETV - financial bit, what exactly do they want to see?
Maybe been answered already but I got to page 7 of 20 and gave up haha
If I made an appointment to get a new SETV from the Liverpool Consulate, could I skip all that you think? It doesn't mention any of that on the website. That's what I'll be doing in August then. Only an hour on the train from Manchester and I enjoy going to Liverpool anyway so no biggie. Will report how things went when the time comes.

Hi guys,
So I'm already thinking about Tourist Visa No.3.
My plan is to go back to the UK August 7th to see out the end of summer with friends, have a few BBQ's, sit in the beer garden etc, and then come back to LOS around the 4th September for another 3 months (yes I know, a lot of that time will be wet haha) before coming back to UK for December and Xmas.
I will be applying for TV No.3 in London. Already asked this question and confident I will get the new visa. The big question is, do I fly straight back into BKK or go another route. This will be my third entry on a TV this year.
What do people suggest? I want to get flights booked asap. Thanks again guys and girls.

Decent Mountain Bike Brands in Thailand?
in Cycling in Thailand
Posted
I am going to take it off road and up the mountain a bit but mainly dirt track low land riding. I'm pretty experienced rider, had some really nice bikes in the past, Schwinn Straight 8, Kona Kikapu etc. Near where I live in the UK - in Macc forest we have some really decent purpose built trails and courses. But not riden for a while and just fancied something cheap to get me back on the bike and get a bit of cardio going haha.
But the more I think about - the more I want to actually spend haha
They do look pretty nice to be fair!
