The Donbas oblasts, Donetsk and Luhansk are three-quarters Russian now. So much so that even President Trump, who had other ideas before entering the White House, now gets it: Ukraine has lost the war it started in 2014 and will eventually have to accept whatever terms the Kremlin decides to hand down. Every time Zelensky throws a tantrum — just like when he rejected the Minsk and Istanbul agreements — Ukraine loses more territory. That’s the reality. The only one.
