  1. I hope they also go after Thaksin for his thinning of the opposition war on drugs.
  2. My smoking playlist: Dire Straits - Your latest trick, Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street, Lou Reed - Walk on the wild side, Hazel O'Connor - Will you, Supertramp - The logical song, Sting - Englishman in New York, a nice chillin' Indica I do enjoy a touch of sax with my smoke.
  3. If you need to get an all day drink, if you cannot survive between licensing hours or control your alcoholism, then choose Russia. Thailand does not need any more alcohol dependent tourists, we have enough already.
  4. Thailand doesn't need these kind of tourists.
  5. So called to protect kids from consuming alcohol Did you even read the article? Introduced in 1972, the ban aimed to prevent civil servants from indulging in alcohol during work hours
  6. Took the quiz and at the end you have to give your e-mail address to find out the result. Quite a devious and underhanded way to get your e-mail address. our quiz is designed to challenge and enlighten you! No, the quiz is designed for data collection
  7. And you can't buy booze 24 hours a day can you? Are you suggesting that alcohol can't be bought in advance and drank at any time?????? Now I am not saying I'm against weed Then why did you bring it into the discussion when it has absolutely no relevance to the story. yes, drugs and alcohol control are relevant to the story because these guys were "probably" imbibing in something Again, pure speculation on your behalf, with no suggestion of this in the story, but it definitely contributes to the mayhem that is prevalent in Phuket right now. Definitely????? What mayhem can you prove that has been caused by weed in Phuket. Please post a credible source showing this and I will reciprocate with 10 news articles of alcohol fueled mayhem to each that you provide. In my humble opinion. Yes, that is all that it all that is, your opinion. As I have already stated, there is no mention or even a suggestion of weed in the story. You bought this to the thread, without cause and reason. Your hatred/fear of weed shines through.
  8. You have called me weird and pathetic I have done no such thing. I called you actions weird and pathetic, not you. You really should learn to understand the post before blindly replying to it and making false accusations.
  9. Total speculation. There was no mention of drugs or alcohol on the story. Why don't you just say that the were probable fleeing a murder or bank robbery, as that isn't suggested in the story either. You are just filling in the blanks to fit your narrative without any evidence whatsoever. Pathetic.
  10. So you just threw in a question that has absolutely no relevance to the story or anything else that has been discussed in this thread. How very weird of you.
  11. I don't think that this thread is going the way that The OP thought it would. 🤦‍♂️
  12. Where is there ANY mention of weed in the story?
  13. Errrm, no. Did you read what I was replying to? Huh x 2
  14. • “If it were a Thai person, they’d have been arrested the moment they unzipped.” Thai taxi drivers regularly unzip and pee at the side of the road without any consequences. • “They must think they can do anything in Thailand. Our laws only apply to locals.” But they don't apply to locals. Where I live it is the Thais who drive their motorbikes in the wrong direction, on the pavement, without a helmet, while texting on their phones. I see Thais openly breaking the law on a daily basis but I don't see any Thai netizens complaining about that.
  15. Why would someone travel half way around the world to collect a debt? Why wouldn't they? Apart from the obvious GBP 30,000, she was probably sent by her company to close the debt. I myself have had to fly from Thailand to Europe to collect an unpaid account for my employer.
  16. As her identity was clearly visible in the video, police traced her whereabouts and arrested her on January 23. But how exactly did they trace her? Yes they had clear images but how did they connect the images to the woman's address? She wasn't local, so I would be interested to know how they were able to match the images to an actual person in Samutprakarn.
  17. There seems to be a distinct lack of red shirt apologists defending the criminal on the Thaksin threads of recent.
  18. The guy was not from Birkenhead, that's were his team TRFC are based. It is debatable whether he is from Liverpool, as he is actually from Huyton, which is part of of the Liverpool Built-up Area. Many Huyton locals class their area as part of Liverpool.
  19. I read a news report a few years back in which teachers stated that children are swiping books in an attempt to turn pages, as they had not learned this basic skill, as they were bought up on smartphones and tablets.
  20. That should distract them away from their phones. 🤔 The art of being able to use a pen and paper is dying. 😟
  21. From the news story: the Buriram EOD team identified the object as a BDU-33 aerial bomb
  22. Yes, it is from the Vietnam War era. It is also fairly harmless, as it is a practice bomb (bdu = bomb dummy unit).
