Report Thai Police Launch Helmet Crackdown to Boost Road Safety
Bert got kinky replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
This will work very well in tourist areas but will have little to no impact to the remainder of Thailand. where I live (Samutprakarn), I will still have to avoid helmet-less idiots riding the wrong way while walking on the footpaths. Nice to see that the police in Phuket have just been given a pay rise. -

Without our smartphones, where would we be in 2025? Don't know, can't get Google maps on my Samsung clam-shell phone -
It seems they can actually play a bit once all the pressure is off. It's so much easier when it's 12 men against 10.

and another bit of money to hand over for the cert. On some skins that I bought recently, there was an advert prompting me to apply for my 'medical cannabis card' online. Not sure if this card will be accepted but worth a punt. I followed their instructions and after a medical consultation, my card was approved. To get the card issued, all I had to do was donate pay 2,000 Baht. I'm thinking of setting up a website, selling weed cards for 1,000 Baht a pop.

Waraphol claims that ride-hailing apps like Grab do not fundamentally belong to Thailand, likening airports to vital "doors and windows" of the country that should not be dominated by non-Thai services. A quick Google search tells me that the first recorded taxi-like services emerged in London (United Kingdom) in 1605. Does Waraphol think that foreign influenced services should be banned from Thailand, in case they corrupt local traditions?

Report Thailand Eases Alcohol Laws Amid Concerns Over Safety Impact
Bert got kinky replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
However, the Alcohol Watch Network has raised alarms, warning that these relaxed laws could exacerbate alcohol-related deaths in the country. At last a voice of reason. This dangerous drug ruins lives and should be banned. I'm sure that my comment will have the morons pushing the 'thumbs down' emoji, so press away. -

So you think that it is ok for an adult to deliver a flying kick to a 6yo child's head? If a 6yo was bullying your child, would you do the same? -
We used to have one during the latter part of the cold war. We also had a decent regular army until it was cut to ribbons in the name of defence cuts. The regiment that I served was the British Army's main infantry recruiting regiment until it got chopped from three battalions to one. The battalion that I served in no longer exists, I feel homeless now. 😠
