For the last 5 to 6 years, I a friend of mine has been paying 9,000 Baht for a kilo brick. On my his last re-up I he asked for a better deal and the seller immediately dropped the price to 8,000 Baht. I wonder if he was just getting rid of brick-weed stock in anticipation of being able to vend a better quality alternative.

BMT, I have gotten my Jiffy pellets and my seeds are on the way. After sprouting I intend to plant the seedlings to small pots by sinking the pellet into potting soil. When the seedlings get bigger i then plan to move them to a 7 or 8 gallon fabric grow bag. Can you recommend for me which type of soil I should use in the grow bag?

Are they suggesting that if my wife posted a video showing me smoking a 20% joint inside my own house, I wont be arrested prosecuted for smoking the joint but she could end up in trouble for posting a video of the crime (without involving police)? And I have smoked here for over 20 years but the quality/strength of the 'regular' weed here is NAF. After smoking this stuff for so long, it's nearly impossible to get high now, just chilled. Also I have heard stories that the local brick-weed is full of chemicals. It manages to just take the edge off life, that's all. I don't drink, so a good smoke is my escape from the harshness of reality. Now that things have gotten more lax, there is more choice on the market but nowhere local to me and the prices are a bit shocking for a regular smoker. I don't intend to spend my one day off a week travelling across to the other side of Bangkok to pay more than I spend on weekly groceries for my weekly weed. Growing my own (if I can) would give me better quality at a better price. Also, as suggested by BangkokReady, it would give me a hobby.

In fact, if any of the mods are reading this, how about a smoker's corner dedicated to all stuff 4:20? Let's face facts, the Ganja issue has certainly generated a shed-load of posts over the last few weeks. Also, in general there seems to be an amnesty on attacking each other, a pleasant peace and may I suggest 'even camaraderie is breaking out on these threads. Further to this, due to the number of threads covering this matter, it would help to keep the main board clear and would allow easier searching for all 4:20 related topics.

I think that we need a new subsection on this board to deal with growing hints & tips. ????

Sorry but I respectfully disagree, The information that the government (and the Thai police) have released to us serfs has been confusing from day one, with conflicting statements, dependent on who is making the statement. If I didn’t live here, I would guess that this whole issue was handled very badly and that the government is totally incompetent. However, as I do live here, I will say thank you for the ganja and leave it at that. I believe that we have now gone too far down the rabbit hole and the government/police have now lost control of the matter and to try to clamp down would be a mistake. This legalization (?) seems to be immensely popular amongst the Thai people and eventually I envisage that the government will play on this popularity. Even if they did decide to clamp down, I don’t think that it make any difference, I honestly believe that it would just go semi-underground. Also, how would the 0.02% THC be checked and monitored, when everyone and his dog could be growing their own within the next year? I believe that within the next couple of months the THC level will be removed (or just totally ignored) and new legislation will be introduced, probably much akin to the smoking laws, just to give some control back to the government. Just my thoughts but I think that we are living in an interesting country at a very interesting time.
