An incisional hernia is possible after any open abdominal surgery but would be very, very unlikley with laparoscopic surgery.

Apple cider vinegar does not dissolve gallstones. Diet changes can reduce painful attacks (i.e. low fat intake will reduce need for gallbladder to express bile)  but not eliminate the stones he already has either.

Mine was laparoscopic, at the navel incision. Not to deter others, as even if I had read the small print on the consent form, I was in so much pain for a week, I would've signed anyway.

  2. I need to have some important papers mailed from the west, and I have never been sent anything previously. Can someone show me the correct way for someone to address this to me, thanks.

  3. I really like my 2021 Aerox, but two things I dislike are the front shocks and the bluetooth connectivity.

The shocks in front are stiff, would like something better that doesn't jar over bumps. Rears with gas cylinder are OK.

The bluetooth app is worthless as, instead of running in the background waiting to connect when near your bike, you have to launch the app everytime you start your bike. If you're out running errands, a lot of mumbo jumbo. I don't use it.

Also, a minor inconvenience is the lack of stepthru. But, I bought an aftermarket hook for carrying bags which does ok. I'm happy to have the stronger frame.

  4. I prefer the riding position of the aerox; feels more upright and in control like my sport bike I had in the states. All my friends ride pcx/nmax. They are slightly more work to park also.

Have to buy a hook for transporting bags and meals, as my underseat is always occupied by a 2nd helmet, but that's true of all of those I've listed.

Not a fan of the Click stepthrough design, works great for hauling stuff, but unstable at speed.

    Good luck whichever you choose.

    For the nerds amongst us.

The space craft weighed 570kg and immediately before impact was traveling at a velocity of 24,000km/hr.

    KE=(mass x velocity^2)/2

It therefore had a kinetic energy of 12,700 MJ.

    To put this in perspective.

An Olympic swimming pool contains 2500 cubic meters of water at a standard 25DegC.

12,700 MJ is enough to raise the temperature in 16 Olympic sized swimming pools from 25C to boiling point.

So don't go swimming on Dimorphos? ????

So you got lucky in the genetic draw, OR kept yourself fit, OR you are much younger. Proves nothing.

Try reading statistics on the ratio of how many unvaccinated people occupy ICU's and die, vs. those who get vaccinated. If that's not enough scientific evidence for you, I give up.

All I'm saying is it's really down to the individual. Many vaccinated die also. Why?

I'm old, fat, and a smoker, so yeah, it's probably in my genes or the fact I've built up good immunity by never having flu shots or covid shots.

I prefer the pre-2020 definition of vaccines. I'll leave it there.

These are the three types of ad hominem argument. I assume you are referring to the second example. In my previous post, I was referring to the first.

    • Abusive - This is where the person is directly attacked. ...
    • Circumstantial - Personal circumstances motivate a person's argument, so it must be false. ...
    • Guilt by Association - Due to an association to something negative, an argument is discredited.

My argument is not based on personal circumstances alone, I rely on statistics, such as the fact unvaccinated people have a much higher probability of occupying an ICU, or dying from COVID. Doesn't matter where one looks in the world, the facts don't change.

About three weeks after my first COVID vaccination, I got myself tested for antibodies. They were present. Zero antibodies means an unvaccinated person is relying solely on their immune system to protect them. Being in the most vulnerable age group, I didn't feel like I should be taking on that gamble.

When I caught COVID after my second vaccination, I had a sore throat and runny nose for three days, end of story.. MY GF, 23 years younger than me, unvaccinated, was sick for 10-12 days, with the full array of symptoms.

That's how I know COVID vaccine protected me.

    Anecdotal, not scientific.

Had the rona at least twice, no issues, no vaccine. But scientifically, I can't claim that being unvaccinated reduced my symptoms, just as you cannot claim vaccination reduced yours.

All I can say is COVID vaccination protected me.

That is an ad hominem comment which you made. Does that make you dishonest as you state?

Please tell me how you know, for scientific fact, that the vaccine protected you.

iMoto can do an inside hot patch.

    Mo bedda.

Yeah, I'll do that next time for sure. I'm sure Mityon does that, but I had the plug done at a local mom pop shop.

  10. I just replaced my 2021 Aerox, also, slow leaking rear tire last Monday at the Mityon service center in Pattaya. I didn't request a brand or anything. Came out with a factory-similar tread, didn't note the brand yet. ฿1500 all in.

It had a screw puncture I had plugged about 1 month into buying the bike, so wasn't keen on replacing a tire that soon. But next time, if the plug leaks like this one I'll get it replaced promptly. Hassle pumping it up all the time and never felt solid.

My experience in Pattaya is that I went to Land Transport with licenses which expired over one year ago due to being absent as a result of covid.  They allow renewals within one year to be normal while those over one year have a list of requirements which are to do video training on site only, take written exam and the other usual checks.  Actual driving test is waived and the list of items to bring are as others stated above including residency certificate and medical certificate.  They booked an appointment for me about 10 days out and said to be sure to bring all the required documents or you would be turned away.  Their procedure is strict and doubt there will be exceptions unless you go through agents who may have arrangements.

My agent was strict on the testing requirements, ie couldn't pull any strings.

Fortunately for me, my IDP was still active the first time, and when renewal time came, my license only expired a couple weeks prior, so never had to watch the video nor take the written test.
