Stupid comment! Thaksin’s and Yingluck’s convictions is pure political. They are no more criminal than the general that stole the government with a coup 8 years ago and the generals before that in 2006. You should instead ask: How would those diplomats react in their home country if the army made a coup and dissolved the legitim government?

I have made an excel application that calculate your tax to Thailand. I also have ภ.ง.ด.91 in english ready to print out with RO01, also in english. The application is mainly made for norwegian taxpayers, but will calculate thai tax for any foreigner (if you understand the norwegian guide, that is). The application is on FB and can be downloaded by every member of that page for free.

In my country you must have a liability insurance before you can use your car. So I believe his insurance company would pay for third parts damage and in cases like this they might make recourse to the driver since he was under the influence and not allowed to drive. If the driver did not have a liability insurance it will be a more serious case for the court. He might loose whatever he has to pay for the damages.

I dont know US or UK, but in Norway driving under influence of drug/alcohol is automatic prison-time.

The bank will not stop withholding tax, but when your bank account are linked to your tax ID, revenue office will know what tax are related to you. Should be easier to get money back, I guess,

This is tax on thai income. You do not pay tax to Thailand and this income shall not be taxed in UK (according to your statement). You get deducted tax back from Revenue Office.

First you should make sure that your bank account are connected to your tax ID, then Revenue Office will know what tax are collected in your name. Else you need a document from the bank to identify the tax you have paid. Banks are obliged to tax deduction on interest from bank accounts, but there is no tax on interest below 25.000 bath. If you pay tax to Thailand you can claim that this tax to be part of your total tax (other tax reduced), or you get returned the tax paid.

Univerity scientists work on science, not ideology! That people with left side ideology seems to take knowledge from scientists does not make universities ideological. I do not know wether you are European or American, but from your posting I assume that you are American, myself I'm Northern European. When it comes to politic I know there is a very big difference between Europe and US. Most countries in Northern Europe are Social Democratic, but you call that socialism. That makes it impossible for further discussion since we do not have a common political language.

To the right vertical is the number with arabic numbers and roman a letter. Top center horisontal is the same number in thai. Posisjon 2 should be a letter in the same order as in the other. If roman was A then thai would be ก since that is the first letter in thai alfabet. If it is not ก then it is wrong. This is what they are saying.
