  1. What I admire about Thai culture and society is their firm stance on not tolerating misbehavior from foreigners. Visitors who step out of line face appropriate consequences. As guests in their country, we should behave respectfully. If we were to walk into someone else’s home and cause trouble, we’d be promptly asked to leave. Western countries could learn a lot from the way Thai society handles such situations.
  2. Well said! The last thing we need in Thailand is a Western style 'DeMoRraCy' I think Thailand is doing a great job of protecting it's country from such tyrants. Just look at how bad things are in the UK and America rtight now..
  3. This is why so many Thai business owners are stinking rich.

  7. It's not really that important now. I feel the current government, with Thaksin working behind the scenes, is actually doing well and has surprised me quite a bit.
  8. There are no excuses for overstaying with all the new visa options and the assistance available to resolve overstays from agents
  9. Yes, and especially at these larger used dealerships.
  10. it's always been a rip off regardless, so no real grounds to complain when you were willing to pay that amount for a 5 year visa in the first place.
  11. in reality, full of criminals and alcoholics
  12. Pure arrogance from his part. Hope they throw the book at him
  13. What, like a 200 THB fine, and off you go on your merry way?
  14. Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy a used car at the moment and came across a local seller who has a 2014 Mitsubishi Attrage for 125,000 THB. It has a manual transmission with 120,000 km on the clock and one previous owner. The car looks in great condition judging from the photos. However, I'm not very familiar with this car, so I wanted to get some insights from anyone who might own one here. Also, would you consider this to be a reasonable price?
  15. Yes, it's incredibly risky, and that's exactly why I'm looking to buy a car now. I'm sure it won't be long before my luck runs out, and God forbid I end up severely injured or dead. Just the other day, I nearly crashed into someone making an illegal U-turn in the middle of the road.
