  1. The footage - which is too graphic to show in full - purports to show a number of captured soldiers lying on the ground. Some have bags over their heads, and many appear to be bleeding from leg wounds. It is not clear how or when they were injured. The prisoners are questioned by their captors, asking them about their units and activities in the area. Purports to show, is not proof.
  2. Particularly concerning, as it points to a "cultural" issue. I suppose though when one buys ones rank, as opposed to gaining it through competency and knowledge, and having to purchase equipment. Perhaps instead of making merit, rank could come through merit in ones profession
  3. Putin may be ‘playing a long game’ on the cyber front, with attacks under way but not fully understood https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/apr/01/russia-ukraine-cyberwar
  4. I hope you are correct, a friend of mine his daughter is also with a police office, he is university educated, holds quals in criminology and legal studies from UK. Well presented, well mannered so fingers crossed, good english and also speaks Spanish
  5. True, however in Thailand, which is where we are, they seem more blatant, numerous and inept at their corruption and crimes than many western countries
  6. Believe that you really would be deluded Russia’s Deputy Defence Minister Alexander Fomin said the Kremlin was withdrawing from Kyiv and Chernihiv to “increase mutual trust and create conditions for further negotiations.” https://www.news.com.au/world/europe/russia-is-regrouping-for-more-brutal-attacks-on-ukraine/news-story/ec5d297280f06a5ffec3ad909d065305
  7. movement to Inactive posts and retraining in not leaving evidence at scene of crime. Assessment of competence to commit crime without detection
  8. It astounds me that they do not have random breath checks and breath testing devices in all police vehicles, and during peak periods random breath testing busses deployed on all major roads, with minor roads blocked off so miscreants cannot escape detection. Also random breath and drug testing for each driver stopped for any infringement.

  11. One has to ask after the product supplier gets their expenses compensated, and those in the hierarchy of the prison take their cut, how much does each prisoner get? Shame they do not also have a scheme to educate them read and write as well gain other skills for realistic employment or business.
  12. The science around supporting chemical castration, is very weak, as rape is generally less about the sexual act and more about exerting power over a victim. Castration does little to control anger etc unfortunately. It reduces the testosterone, yes, but not necessarily the anger levels and need to have power over another person.
  13. I feel sad at any loss of life, especially dying in fear. I am fortunate I have never been subjected to the fear of being either an invader or the invaded, for that I am grateful. I have been in a war zone and the fear and adrenaline had a long lasting effect . I am sure most who have been in war zones know how distressing it is and not gung-ho about death
