It would if they refused to pay another persons bill. Even british pensioners will stand up for themselves, and Thai thugs think nothing of beating up elderly people. Its you who needs to think, and removing the rose coloured spectacles would help you a lot

But we don't like any talk of attracting the big spending quality tourists who drive up prices of stuff. And the thought of tightening visa/extension requirements always causes screams, teeth gnashing, and soiled knickers.
If only we could figure out how to screen out the hooligans and admit only the sort of Brit not likely to engage in thuggery. Here's what we want:
And what chance would those two stand when it all kicks off?

Perhaps you will ask him why they deserved it.
its a common response on here intended to gain "likes" from similar minded people, who feel there is nothing racist about constantly posting nasty comments about people, based solely on their nationality

Apparently they expected him to pay somebody else's bill too not to simple to check that eh? Where does it say they were "so" drunk ?

Its okay, we have Different view on quality tourism.
Im fine with that
I would imagine we have different views on just about everything, you must encounter many like me in that respect I detest the term "quality tourist" nearly as much as the type of people who repeat it with boring monotony

Khaosod reporting that the bar attempted to make the farang in the white pay another person's bill after he had paid his own. When they tried he refused, became annoyed and verbally abusive. Security arrived and then started fighting and assaulting the punters.
So its about time some on here started retracting their bigoted uninformed racist comments, and started writing their public apologies in my opinion

I have been to Pattaya, but not soi 6, and if you say it is family friendly and quality tourism, well
Case closed
Family friendly is a fair description most of the time, Families are welcome and not discouraged from visiting there, in the same way that "dog freindly" pubs allow dogs in what are you expecting a creche or maybe some swings and a roundabout?

Comes to mind someone told me about the quality services there, BJ bars, cheap short time rooms, cheaper beer, overall cheaper
"somebody told you" yeah right ! Those services are indeed available for people who want them , do you not realise that it is not obligatory to indulge

Just normal people most of them , I have seen many family's and couples there on the rare occasions I have visited. You on your own admission have never been there. The term quality tourists is not based on your, personal ,rather puritanical moral compass.

Not really. Plenty of examples of excessive violence over the years and you don't even have to look very hard.you don't need to look very hard to find Yaba or those who use it in a place like that.

I saw exactly what happened, we have all watched the videos, how would you explain the bouncers actions? "youthful high spirits" or a "strong work ethic" perhaps

Pattaya Police Take Action Against Soi 6 Security Guards for Assault on Tourists
The Pattaya City Police have detained a trio of security guards implicated in a recent violent altercation with tourists that we covered in full HERE. The incident, which has sparked widespread condemnation and raised concerns over the city’s image as a tourist destination, was captured on a viral video and has since circulated widely.
At approximately 11:36 p.m. on May 26, 2024, Police Colonel Navin Teerawit, superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, alongside his deputies, led a team to apprehend the individuals involved. The suspects, identified only as Mr. Ball, aged 27, Mr. Tom, aged 36, and Mr. Ice, aged 24, were taken into custody for questioning and further legal action.
The guards were reportedly part of an independent “freelance” contractor group for multiple independent bars, but not directly associated with any particular bar or group.
Source:
As i said in a previous post , a mafia protection racket, without doubt , There always seems to be one called "ball" in these incidents, I wonder how Mr "ice " got his name? certainly not as a reflection of his demeanor but very possibly as a result of his penchant for an illegal substance judging by the behaviour

There's an update on Pattaya News saying police picked up the 3 security guards at 11:30 pm last night. Doesn't say what if any charges have been laid but does say foreigners have declined to file a police report
Article says condition of foreigners is unknown but if rumours that one died was true, wouldn't the other two definitely file a police report?
I doubt either of those two guys are capable of filing a report, The police will have received instructions to adopt a damage limitation protocol from their puppet masters. If one of the guys has died this will be very big news

Why does everyone keep using the terms, "Security guards" "Bouncers", they are neither, they are just hired thugs with zero training on how to be bouncers, just pack rats!
"bouncers" are generally just hired thugs in suits, who else would wish to work in such an environment, They are organised by mafia type organisations and many of their clients have no option to refuse to use their "services" When a bar owner is told "I think you need security" there is little point in disagreeing
The relatively recent trend in the western world to force them to undergo training and have badges is the same as rolling excrement in glitter, here they don't even bother to do that
-
Considering the uncontrolled fury of the attack I reckon Yaba or possibly steroids may well have contributed to this incident. This was not the behaviour of normal people it was well over the top even by Thailands "standards",

Visit at your own risk.
or better yet, don’t visit at all!

I always wonder what the attraction is there, What can one get in Pattaya that one cannot get elsewhere in Thailand? I suppose that video answers my question, but its not something that I would call a tourist attraction

The broken nose story was probably just made up rubbish on behalf of a "netizen" type character, If it was true it would be on CCTV and would certainly been made public by now in a vain attempt to justify what happened

I've been wondering about 'at home' solutions such as a small room with carbon monoxide or 'dry ice' in water, which melts as carbon dioxide. It's ridiculous that the professionals lack mercy here, especially with so many feral animals suffering in public. The prefer to prolong the death process, unfortunately
I believe a nitrogen filled room is a very humane way to go, Akin to just falling asleep
