  1. they keep a van on standby , just for those who ask stupid questions about them on here
  2. I'm just telling you the facts, if you don't like them that is up to you, I don't doubt there are plenty of people who hate the british . maybe even "most people in the world " as you childishly put it, To be honest I could not care less. Ihe fact remains most british people do not like arabs, what's more most non arabs aren't too keen on them either, why does that make you uncomfortable? I don't see them getting much support on here either, do you?
  3. read what I wrote, most british people do not care for Arabs and will avoid them if possible, Nothing deluded about that statement. The fact that you consider meeting a few in the "spa you frequent" a privilege is neither here nor there. Most british people do not eat frogs or horse meat either, I don't need to be a "spokesperson" to tell you that either but you can safely rely on it as "fact" these kind of things are just stuff that people know and accept, a bit like general knowledge if you will
  4. Well I'll clear things up for you, I am from the UK originally , and most UK people, myself included, rightly or wrongly, do not particularly like Arabs. Although there will be a tiny minority who claim they do, despite never having met one, We don't particularly like people who are like that either
  5. I did not say young thais do not create a nuisance that is not the subject of this thread, however our local police station has a huge lock up pen at the rear which must contain over 500 confiscated motor bikes all of which belonged to Thais. To suggest that the police never arrest or prosecute Thais is just wrong, it is their primary purpose. It really isn't all about tourists you know.
  6. Just buy a few books on the subject, learn to read a little and just go out and talk to people. Much better than sitting in a classroom and a lot more fun, you will also save a considerable amount of money
  7. albeit from a very small and very vocal minority and even most of them wouldn't be too upset about arabs getting a rough deal, few like them anywhere
  8. There is nothing racist about it at all Only a fully paid up member of the woke club would think that there was. They are simply targeting people causing a nuisance on motorbikes who coincidentally happen to be Arabs. The headline was designed to cause a reaction from the woke and promote the usual exchange of views between them and normal people
  9. There is no requirement for tourists to hold travel insurance, there was no law passed in 2014/2015. what are you talking about? The only compulsory requirement for tourists to have insurance was during the covid years. , If people want to travel without insurance it is up to them and nothing to do with you "If a tourist arrives with no travel insurance then they should not be allowed to clear immigration until they purchase a policy at a booth/s that could be easily set up before arriving at immigration." No wish to sound patronising but there is a little more to providing insurance cover than "setting up a booth" You seem obsessed with inflicting more rules and regulations on people, and it looks to me that it's all because you were badly advised and consequently made a poor choice when choosing your own visa, and are somewhat envious of those who found a better solution than you. Non O -A really ???? ???
  10. I don't think he even knew what questions to ask, either that or he comes from Albania or somewhere similar No state pension required for NON O visas in the uk either . money in the bank is acceptable and has been for years. It just isn't very clear on the website Why would it say over 50 with state pension when state pensions start at 65??
  11. You have no need to explain yourself to him, or any of the other busibodies on here that consider themselves entitled to criticise others regarding visa matters, its none of their business. What sort of person is he anyway, who decides to move here and then calls for established practices regarding immigration matters to be made illegal? Especially when they have no bearing at all on his own circumstances (as he obviously does not use them) but will make life more difficult for others,? A spiteful, sanctimonious type perhaps?
  12. Its worse than that, he's obviously another one who wants Thailand to become more like the miserable country he chose to leave. I really cannot understand people with that mindset. they must feel like fish out of water, I can guarantee he would not be in favour of a requirement regarding a certain level of Thai language ability (both written and spoken) and he obviously struggles to understand how things are, and have always been, done here
  13. That's probably why he has one, up to him none of my business, but he needs to keep his Ideas to himself, what sort of person advocates stricter regulations for those they feel superior to, when they personally will probably also suffer the consequences of whatever changes come into effect?
  14. You sound like one of those people I came here to get away from, nobody was forced to obtain a "non o(a)" visa ,and I can't understand why anybody would (except through ignorance) There's nothing to be gained for you by advocating for stricter regulations to be imposed on others, in my opinion, people like you who behave like that should be banned off this forum You have no idea about my or anybody else's ability to fulfill any visa requirements and it is really absolutely none of your business, get your own affairs in order and leave any matters relating to the compliance of others to the immigration authorities, it's their responsibility not yours Furthermore, referring to your fellow expats as "farang" just makes you sound ridiculous and more than a bit arrogant, rather like a retired teacher, have you applied to be a tourist police volunteer yet?
  15. Yeah and it would create more hassle for everybody currently on non o visas, you should keep ideas like that to yourself
  16. well when you do you can revisit this thread and maybe able to make a more informed and balanced comment, At the moment you are way out of your depth
  17. The only things sad and disgusting is your belief that this warrants the death penalty, and the reasons you have for thinking that way
  18. Not sitting in your chair? still standing ? well it's early yet isn't it. you drink alcohol hopefully god will give you strength too ( as if I care) never bought anybody a drink to "join you"? of course you have. one for the road? well why not eh? I don't think that the owners of the companies that legally produce Lao Khao , hong tong, chang or leo are exactly strapped for cash either, Weddings, funerals, birthdays, etc etc its always there and people like you criticise those who won't drink it , shaming them into intoxication, that's how it works, its a social thing. but its all fine with you because you have the backing of governments for your hypocritical views
  19. The big question is why do people take it in the first place? Its not because their life is sooo good , but yes decriminalisation is the only way if coupled with education
  20. If there are not many heroine users in singapore then explain why people risk their lives bothering smuggling heroine into that country,
  21. explain why? and explain why you don't think alcohol suppliers should not be subject to the same fate, but try and do it without mentioning the legalities or government's involvement, You can't
