Or if you buy a return (flexi) ticket..
My insurance is 90 days per trip, my extension expires in I think july 2021.. I expected to have to justify that for the COE and booked a return ticket under 3 months but they issued the COE before I even uploaded my flight info.
hmm this is the embassy in yr country right

Not sure about thousands of them but many have entered.
Three months is enough if entering on a single entry non-o visa.
thanks ubonjoe

did u need to show a airline ticket return after 3 mths ?

It states this on the London embassy website.
"3. Copy of health insurance policy which covers COVID-19 related medical expenses in Thailand no less than 100,000 USD for the whole period of your stay in Thailand"
If entering on a non-o visa that would be 90 days. If with re-entry permit for a extension of stay it would be to the date it expires.
ok thank u for this , i was thinkign to buy just 90 days .

Insurance is not required to apply for a non-o visa or extension of stay based upon marriage.
The only time insurance is needed is to apply for a certificate of entry at a embassy or official Thai consulate that requires $100,000 of covid 19 insurance coverage.
im not if this has been answered before , this 100k of covid insurance , does one need to buy full 12 mths ?
or just one mth is fine '? thanks

Nobody is going to fly out of Thailand if govt keep on giving endless amnesties. Might as well give everyone a five year amnesty.
haha thats funny , but i doubt they will do that

Unfortunately, i flew out on the 25th before any talk of the new extension.
I left my girlfriend and kids in Thailand, so i am not best pleased.
Immigration would not give me another extension and the british embassy wouldnt give me a letter.
So im a little <deleted> off about it.
sad to hear abt it , but the way they are handling this whole covid seems really dumb
are u going back thailand soon ? off topic abt , any idea of the insurance ( duration ) u need to get in ? assuming u are coming on NON O marriage visa

nice , china starts virus , and then allow them in first ... good job

I've seen mention (by an Immigration official, subject of a thread here) of some sort of NEW 60-Day Extension, to cover 1 Dec - 30 Jan 2021 (presumably).
Will that be in the Ministry Announcement? Or is that a new separate Cabinet effort for the future?
wow so long

From those who have already travelled to Thailand:
Can I use my existing health insurance or do I need to purchase Thai insurance which would be very expensive because of many cases in my home country?
i agree with u they are very expensive ....

The $100,000 insurance covering covid-19 is one of the requirements when applying for the CoE and is not negotiable.
have u applied and managed to come into thailand?
how many mths did u buy for ?
-
5 minutes ago, ubonjoe said:
It depends upon how soon you can get on a special flight into the country after applying for a certificate of entry at a embassy or official consulate.
One or 2 months or more is about normal dependent upon where you are flying from.
thanks ubonjoe , i will check again .... will they reject entry due to not enough insurance for covid ?
