I guess the discipline comes from buying only what I need

i will try to memorize and adhere to this principle,

i guess i try to fill my life with activities that cost money

but im none the content either way

It doesn't cause discomfort, it's just the way I do things. Examples:

I always pay invoices immediately I get them. Several GF's thought that was crazy, pay when they are due. But I did have the comfort of knowing I could dismiss those bills straight away, didn't have to think about them again.

I won't buy anything unless I have the cash to put down for it. I defer the pleasure of the purchase until I can afford whatever it is. The last time I owed anybody any money was 1974.

I also won't buy anything that's a new model until other people have established for me it is reliable. I prefer to avoid lemons. I used to read consumer magazines from cover to cover.

I could be called obsessive-compulsive. However, it has worked for me for a long time and while there are posters here who are bewailing their financial situation, I won't be one of them. My big financial mistakes have been women, not happening again.

but that doesnt address, you said you stay within a budget,

and if you are within the budget you allow yourself to spend,

that implies if you exceeded the budget you dont allow,

so what is the trick of setting up the budget and then proceed to stick to it ?

ages ago i was thrilled how much money i saved, when

i compared everything to prices back home,

and if it wasnt the deal of the hour i wouldnt buy,

now i get no pleasure from saving and no discipline to use common sense

Arguably a false statement...hot as hades and some of the worst pollution in the world...not to mention water shortages...

no, i take it you have no idea what its like to live in sub zero temperature,

its not possible for humans to survive there without extensive shielding

    from the very hostile environment

I'm not sure if I should be asking if the same applies to condoms.

I work within a monthly budget. Provided I am within said budget, I spend on whatever I want. No point in being the richest man in the cemetery.

what motivates you to set up a budget and stick to it

    if it causes discomfort ?

how do you mobilize discipline ?

i had it but i lost it long long ago

That may be true for you, but I have far far more than them, and am extremely frugal.

Each of my tea bags gets used 3x (sometimes 4x).

i could enjoy that when i came, but how do you remain focused

and how do you continue finding a thrill of it ?

i have a theory the endless tipping demands kinda ruined my discipline,

like, why bother to be careful with money if im just giving them away anyway ?

I changed from a broken iPhone 6s to a Huawei, I think its called p9.

    It cost about 3000bht.

I like it better than the iPhone which cost me a hell of a lot more.

The only thing it doesn't do that the iPhone does is pick up WiFi broadband. Only 2.4mgz or what ever it is.

For a few extra thousand you could buy a newer  more loaded version than mine, but my point is, for all the hype around apple, Huawei is a very good brand for a lot cheaper.

p9 got a 3000 mah battery, its as rotten as it gets for android, even lower then what he has.

iphone generally has even lower specs

  7. that it took that long to latch on is odd

Vitamin D has other roles in the body, including modulation of cell growth, neuromuscular and immune function, and reduction of inflammation [1,3,4]. Many genes encoding proteins that regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis are modulated in part by vitamin D [1]. Many cells have vitamin D receptors, and some convert 25(OH)D to 1,25(OH)2D.

Pray tell what are the other attractions? I am not trying to be difficult here, but I always had a problem understanding why do people choose to live in Pattaya?

pattaya beats isaan any day o the week regardless what if any brothel you fancy,

firstly its right at the sea so the temperature dont get too hot and not too cold either,

secondly isaan cant compete in variety of goods you can get in pattaya,

    especially food variety

Well, this is where putting all your eggs in the same basket gets you... The city itself is simply ugly, the sea polluted, the beaches a sad joke. The only attraction this place had was booze and whores. And even that was starting to wear thin in recent years, with all the bright ideas to reinvent the city as a "first class family resort" and what not.

So it will definitely fail in a big and painful way, shrink and possibly reinvent itself as something much smaller, but possibly smarter in 5-10 years.

no, that is not the only attraction, its my home and i dont do either thai woman nor beer any longer, i will not voluntarily change it for an isaan <deleted>hole

Pray tell me what pies you can get in Pattaya, that i cannot get in Issan?

I get my pies from Nookies delights, now he gets most of his stock from Pattaya, so i must disagree with you.

Now as i dont eat out, cook my own western food, not applicable.

apple crumble at friendship and apple pie at central big c,

...perhaps you dont eat fresh food ? i guess your pies comes frozen.

potato salad at foodland, with more variety of meats to go with it

than you can dream of in isaan,

you are totally off the mark and dont even know it

Having lived up north for over a decade on-off. I grabbed a bus there from bkk on a return visit to see for myself... Bleck....could only find a seedy noisy room as I arrived late, walked around a bit, looking over my shoulder as it had this uneasiness to it, sketchy vibe in the air....left the next day..never again...horrible.

But I guess if ur going there to drink and have sex, fine. I always wondered when I met these cute china dolls up north why they all wanted to go there..just could not figure it out, the beach? ocean? shopping?? ..yuk

I do feel for the poor ladyboys there, how will they survive with no one to rob and beat up?....up to u!
