lets agree to disagree. I see having an affair as being not satisfied in the other relationship otherwise why would one have an affair knowing it would hurt your partner (in most cases)

Some people (not you obviously) have the saying "what the eyes don't see the heart doesn't grieve over" close to their own heart. Some people are just weak and give in to temptation. What's true for you in love and fidelity doesn't mean is true for everyone. As you say we will have to agree to disagree.

I did not use the word love, i said not happy not satisfied. Because love is something else. Of course things can be agreed upon (open relationship been there done that). But in this case does not seem to be a one time thing but a real affair.

You're right you didn't use the word "love",  but her having an affair (as seems plausible or likely even) is not evidence that she is unhappy in her marriage. She may be or she may not be. We just don't know.

Obviously she is not happy and not satisfied. So IMHO a case of a woman staying with a guy for money and deciding to have some fun because the guy is only good for the money.

Whilst I have generally agreed with your thoughts on this topic, I think your observation here is over simplified. I personally believe it is very possible to love one person and then have sex with yet another person (sex does not always equal love). The human psyche and people's motivations are not so black & white and indeed can be very complicated (often sparked by the situations they find themselves in - like alcohol, recent arguments etc, leading to impromptu decisions). Some people feel that if they were to have sex with someone else it would be because they didn't love their current partner any longer. But what is true of one person is not necessarily true of another

The truth or falsehood of the land transaction should be relatively easy to prove one way or another. Exactly where the money was at the time as another question. Not to mention, why would anyone break into a house with a gun, and with 300,000 baht in their pockets. Kind of hard to believe.

The evidence of the land sale was shown on page 2 of the comments (by Gecko)

It’s one thing to claim that the robber wasn’t poor, and had 300K baht due to a land sale. It’s another to claim that he had the money with him when he invaded the Swiss man’s house in the middle of the night.

More to the point, why wasn’t the 250K payment deposited in a bank?

We don't know that it wasn't, but I believe it is not uncommon in rural areas for people to make cash transactions even for that amount

As of September 13, out of the 664 severely ill patients, 437 were completely unvaccinated and 168 had received two doses. Only 59 had received the booster shot. The ratios are similar when analyzing new infections."

Well that's more than a little worrying. 59 people still became seriously ill even after a booster shot

    Consider yourself lucky.

I'm still waiting for my first one. (Korat)

Went into the vaccination centre on Monday and was told I would have to wait a minimum of two weeks!

Consider yourself lucky too. I was given a date of 3rd Nov. Mind you this was via my local hospital. I have heard nothing at all from Expatvac since I registered on 2nd Aug. When I asked the (very friendly) woman at the hospital why it was such a long wait, she replied that Thai people must be vaccinated first. Consequently, some weeks after my appointment was given to me, my 23 year old niece and 15 year old nephew received notification of their vaccination dates in October

It doesn't sound particularly good for over 60s, efficacy is better as people get younger. The other problem with it most countries haven't approved it yet. My second shot Tuesday

Efficacy gets better as people "get younger"? That's only going to help Benjamin Button ????

Because the deal was that the 150,000 Pfizer shots out of the 1.5m donated by the U.S. would go to foreigners who live here. To ascertain if someone is living here, visa required.

Before someone goes that the US government is on the record as saying that there was no such deal, does anyone really think that the Thai government would offer that Pfizer to foreigners from the goodness of their own heart? the reason the program was run by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and not Health speaks volumes that there was an under the table deal.

You sound like a voracious "between the lines" reader

Thanks, this whole sht show makes me feel helpless, seems so hard to get decent information on what, when and where. There are almost too many locations now, but it's finding out about them that's difficult.

Absolutely. One other thing. I asked them why the first available date was so far away. They replied that they now only have sufficient vaccine to administer 2nd shots but they don't have any vaccine available for 1st shots. They have run out. I would also like to add that the woman I spoke with was very friendly, polite and tried to be as helpful as she could

Have a SV + AZ opportunity 300 metres from home tomorrow but it's just day one in the village of several so will keep waiting impatiently a while longer.

This constant waiting game is starting to stress me out!

I just came back from my local hospital (Tha Sala in Nakhon Si Thammarat). I asked to be registered and they allowed me to do so (photocopy of my passport - just the front page, phone number and address). When I asked how long it would be before the vaccine would be administered, they told me that anyone registering today would get a date of 3rd Nov 21 for SV followed by AZ. They then said I would have to wait about 5 days via SMS for confirmation. I also told them that I had registered on expatvac on 2nd Aug and they checked my passport number in their system. They found nothing
