The message hasn't got to them yet, I would wait for Expatvac.
With the dates they gave me, it looks like I have plenty of time to see if Expatvac come through ????

Thanks, this whole sht show makes me feel helpless, seems so hard to get decent information on what, when and where. There are almost too many locations now, but it's finding out about them that's difficult.
Absolutely. One other thing. I asked them why the first available date was so far away. They replied that they now only have sufficient vaccine to administer 2nd shots but they don't have any vaccine available for 1st shots. They have run out. I would also like to add that the woman I spoke with was very friendly, polite and tried to be as helpful as she could

Have a SV + AZ opportunity 300 metres from home tomorrow but it's just day one in the village of several so will keep waiting impatiently a while longer.
This constant waiting game is starting to stress me out!
I just came back from my local hospital (Tha Sala in Nakhon Si Thammarat). I asked to be registered and they allowed me to do so (photocopy of my passport - just the front page, phone number and address). When I asked how long it would be before the vaccine would be administered, they told me that anyone registering today would get a date of 3rd Nov 21 for SV followed by AZ. They then said I would have to wait about 5 days via SMS for confirmation. I also told them that I had registered on expatvac on 2nd Aug and they checked my passport number in their system. They found nothing

Was a bit under the weather for 2 days, but it quickly went away.
Since none of these vaccines are 100% effective against infection, but whose primary benefit is to prevent serious illness and death, it looks to me like your Sinovac shot proved effective. Without it your experience may well have been much worse that being "under the weather for 2 days"

The US made their donation with no specification on how it was to be allocated. It was the Thai government that decided to set aside 150,000 doses for the expat community.
Their first priority has been to administer 'booster' shots to frontline medical staff. A number of reports in the press have suggested that there may be insufficient stock to fulfil this objective. Nakhon Ratchasima, for example, had 100,000 medical staff register for this booster inoculation but have only been allocated 15,800 doses by the central administration. If this over-subscription is repeated throughout the country then there is an almighty shortfall.
It hasn't been talked about yet but the allocation for the expat community could well come under the spotlight. It remains to be seen whether the Government will continue to honour this promise.
All we can do is hope but, if it ends up being used to protect frontline medical staff then I, for one, can't take issue with that.
I second that sentiment entirely

I just called the number given in the Radio Thailand broadcast (02-572-8442) for the Department of Consular Affairs. The long and the short of it is that they have no information. It seems that they are merely acting as a conduit to MOPH. The foreign residents info is passed on to MOPH, and that's as far as it goes for MFA (Consular Affairs Dept).
Essentially it just comes down to us all being asked to be patient.

Ok, so one thing of note from the announcement made by MFA on Radio Thailand just moments ago, was that the email notification of an appointment will NOT be coming from the expatvac.consular.go.th website but will instead be coming from either The Ministry of Public Health OR from the hospital that will administer the vaccination. Khun Tanee Sangrat also gave out a couple of phone numbers
The Department of Disease Control: 1442
The Consular Affairs Department : 02-572-8442 (I was trying to open up Notepad to jot this down so not sure if it was the Consular Affairs Dept or Ministry of Public Health)

I'm British and I live in the Tha Sala area of Nakhon Si Thammarat. I've been in Thailand for more than 15 years (the last 3 in Nakhon - yes my wife is from here ????). I play guitar to a medium standard and would love to meet/jam with some musicians. Are there any here or do you know of anyone?
