I could be wrong on the number it was the desks to the left of the number 6 area first.

The lady at desk 5 we were sent to first then she transferred us to desk 6. Desk 5 was an older looking woman. Desk 6 looked younger but had 4 things on each shoulder kind of reminded me of generals in the military. When we got home my wife said that she said our address was wrong. It's the same address I always use for my tm30 paperwork. Had a Google map from the immigration office to my condo for the map, but she said that was no good need to draw it by hand. I think if I draw it they have a lot better chance of getting lost than the Google map.

Was the jomtien office, I told my wife I am tempted to go back another day and hope we get someone else.

Went this morning with all my paperwork. Quickly got denied. First they said we were not a valid marriage yet need to be married 6 months before filing. Then next reason I'm on a multiple non o Visa until February 2020, can't apply until less than 30 days left on the Visa. They said in the meantime just leave every 90 days. Next my bank account is only 3 months old needs to be at least 6 months old. Next they won't accept that i have foreign monthly income even though i had 3 foreign monthly transfers into my bank account until i show them either an embassy letter which the United States no longer supplies or letters from Veterans Affairs and Social Security. I have those two papers here but the VA one is dated from December and I don't get a new one until next December or unless my award goes up. I'm thinking they might have an issue with that. For the bank and monthly income she said it would be easier if I just put 400k baht into my thai bank account. Before I would do that though I'd just buy the elite Visa. The immigration officer was a young woman. All of my other documents were ok. Now not sure if I will continue with the multiple entry non o visas or try again in January.

I have 3 transfers so far.

Thanks also I will be using the 40k a month international transfers into my thai bank account. I assume I need a letter from the bank along with my bank book? Or is my bank book sufficient for proof.

I got married in February of this year, the paperwork I am reading says I need to include a copy of my marriage certificate and an updated kor 2 or kor22. My question is do I need the updated kor paper since my marriage is so recent? If so where do I get this?
Thanks

My landlord is great, she always files my tm30 form within 24 hours. She has always done anything we needed. She said she would go to immigration with us. She is also married to a farang. Guess we are lucky to have such a good landlord.

Thanks ubonjoe. Do you know how many witnesses Jomtien requires? Do they need to just sign a paper or actually go to immigration? What are they witnesses of? That we are married and living together or of our actual wedding?

Which documents do I need to take with me to jomtien immigration, I'm assuming everything I took for my multiple O Visa and my bank book.

Thanks for the information

I am currently on a 1 year multiple entry O Visa based on marriage which is good until February 2020. Today I just opened a bank account at Bangkok bank. I will start my monthly transfers from America this month of 45k baht into the account. How many months do I need to do that before I can apply for an extension. My current entry is valid until July 2. Also am I allowed to spend the 45k after it is brought into my bank account in Thailand or do I need to leave it sit?

who is this Jim, does he know working illegally means you should be refused entry?
Jim is a Visa agent in Penang, seems to be highly recommended from what I have heard. Personally never used him.

When I say short stays I'm talking about 2 weeks here then traveling outside to other countries flying through Bangkok for a few days then someplace else. Always used exemptions before the last two visits. 1st tourist visa was from Phnom Penh, then second from Penang. Now just got a 1 year multiple O Visa. No problems coming across from Savannheat on the Thai Laos Friendship 2 bridge.

20k per person or 40k per family. I'm not sure on other requirements for tourist visa because I got a multiple entry O Visa. For the O Visa I had my original marriage certificate which they looked at, they took the following documents copy of the marriage certificate, copy of wife's passport, copy of wife's id with her name changed, name change certificate, application form, copy of my passport, 5000 baht, and 2 pictures. No financial documents for the non O.

Last month they questioned me a little in Phuket was my 2nd tourist visa but I had a lot of entries over the past 5 years. Most short stays.

40K Baht for a "family" - right? It is generally 20K Baht for an individual, but if they have changed the rules, good to know for others.
I will double check when I pick my Visa up tomorrow whether it's family or individual.

Only thing I saw today at Savannheat was that tourist visas require 40k baht in financials, non immigrants still have no financials needed as confirmed with my application today.

Is savanheat, Laos or ho chi Minh City easier or the same for the Visa. After looking at airfare seems ho chi Minh City is easier as I can fly direct while to savanheat I'd have to fly from Bangkok to Vientiane to Savanheat. Or is there an easier way to Savanheat that I don't know about.

Hi,
I think I know this but I'm just looking for clarification. I'm getting married to a Thai. I am then planning on getting a multiple o visa based on marriage from either ho chi Minh City or Savanheat, Laos. I believe that would give me 90 days at a time in Thailand then I need to do a border run. By doing this I wouldn't have to worry about 90 day reporting or having large financial amounts in a Thai bank as long as I don't apply for extensions in Thailand. Then every year I just need to go to one of those two embassies again. Is that a feasible plan?

Seemed strange to me everytime I had something done there before extensions on tourist visas, tm30s always dealt with one person. Never had to hop from desk to desk.
