  1. So at the moment there is nothing announced for Nov 1st . Nothing about scrapping ASQ all together or a Sandbox scheme. I guess a sandbox scheme for other provinces inc Bangkok will be similar charge as ASQ.. Just damn well announce what it will be now please so we can plan,
  2. I got through to the Thai Embassy in London and was told that 7 days is now the quarantine in Bangkok but at the moment hotel websites who are in the ASQ programme have not updated their sites to allow 7 days.. still having to pay for 14 days if wanted a letter of confirmation from it .... hmm

  5. So will they please allow booking for ASQ for 7 days. At the moment its still 14 days only at the hotels in the programme
  6. a total mess. No dates about anything. The Hotel industry dont know what to do. What about those of us with a place to stay in Thailnd? We still have to pay for this ASQ nonsense. 14 days of solitary torture

  10. I get email from wise customer service telling me I cannot transfer Uk pounds to Thai bank . its madness why do they say this

  13. ok but the 0.5% fee. on 44200 Pounds 225 Uk pounds, ? I spoke to nationwide bank and they told me have to pay a CHAPS fee to transfer a large sum to another bank . Assuming wise is a bank
  14. I looked at the wise rates for thailand from UK sterling at about 45.5 Baht to pound which is better than some Banks but the transfer fee is over 200 pounds (.51%) . My bank is Bangkok bank to recieve Uk sterling and nationwide Bank in Uk to send, its only 20 pounds . I want to send the maximum 2,000,000 baht but not sure to use Wise or Swift bank transfer . Any suggestions Thanks

  16. Have to end ASQ from October if Fully Vaccinated and have insurance and tested . Madness to force visitors and even people whose home is in Thailand to go solitary confinement

  18. yes I have two bank accounts , bangkok and K, but its Thai baht . So is it better to do direct to thai bank and in sterling and then exchange to Thai baht? or have to monitor rates compared with transferwise ?
  19. I am in the UK so guess I cant set up a sterling account for me account in Thailand. I can still transfer though?
  20. Ok so its a twenty pound fee by nationwide. And its transferred as UK pounds and then changed to baht when arrives?

  23. I cant find the thread about transferring a large sum of money from UK to Thailand. I am looking to transfer around 60,000-70,000UK Pounds about 2.5 million baht . What is the best way and best rate method to use. I have a Bangkok Bank account in Thailand and see that Bangkok bank have a branch in London. would this be a good method to use? If any one has any experience of transferring please reply, and any help to find a thread on this on the forum.. Thanks
