I do, owing to my living here for decades and reading countless oracular prophecies by our ace forum Economists, Urban Planners, Construction Engineers, and Tourism Authorities that always turn out laughably wrong. Any prediction posted here means the opposite will happen in reality. So it is with yours.
As an aside, one of the all-time classics was uttered back in 2009 by one of our most distinguished classical Economists (something of a polymath, actually, with expertise in a number of fields--notably Pavements), now retired and skint. Hear naïveté:
Central World is going to fail, just like The Avenues. Anyone stupid enough to build a place that charges Bangkok prices in a small tourist resort town deserves to go bankrupt.
This shrewd, assured, gleeful prophecy with the wrong name of the mall was immediately affirmed by another Expert:
[Chief Economist] is Right On the facts
So it was clear that Central Festival would in fact be a big success.
Now, the smart money pays close attention to these Oracular Utterances on our forum. So the stupid Erawan Group soon opened the new Holiday Inn Pattaya. Next year, 7 months after another doom thread, the stupid CPN Pattaya Beach Co. Ltd and the stupid Hilton Hotels & Resorts also foolishly opened the Hilton Pattaya amid all the ruins. LH Mall & Hotel Co., Ltd. (LHMH), seeing all the doom threads on ANF, knew to open Terminal 21, to the usual chorus of sneers.
Just to mention a few of the new projects since 2009, mind you.????
Can we construct a reliable Indicator from ANF Poster Prophecies, based on their Eyeballs? Amusingly, it seems so. Shares of CPN, a Pattaya-related company, typically bounce upward after a doom prediction, for example.
So after all the COVID FINAL FINAL DOOM prophecies for Pattaya, we can see why big hotels and condos are still going up.
But not going up for the baked-beans-on-toast mongers, obviously, renting fleabag rooms over on Soi Buakhao. Their slice of the pie, to use one of our Fundamental Economic Principles, has been shrinking since long before COVID. What with the continued decline in the GB Peso, that trend looks more likely to continue than not.
The Authorities have been looking to Asia, India, and Russia. They've been looking for more middle-class tourists and families from the West.
Sorry. You seem lost in the same 1995 time warp as so many of our old posters.
You have proved nothing. We will see if development works

Being stopped by the BIB is not the problem
If you get into some kind of accident, that is where you will have a big problem.
Most travel insurance policies do not allow for being on a motorbike, even on the back.
Most motorbike rentals only have the minimum insurance, pays up to 50
000 baht i believe.
If you hurt someone you may have to pay the hospital bill, this is the stuff
nightmares are made off.
2000 BAHT fine not a problem ? All those just arrived need to remember it went up3 months ago from 500 Baht

Makes me PO that car owners think everything is about cars- up to me I'd ban all private cars on Beach and Second. Zero sympathy for any problems people driving cars on Pattaya Beach and Second roads may have.
The car rules in Thailand. Thais want to back their pick up on road next beach tailboard down, speaker blasting out, thai water beer flowing. then walk dozen steps to the beach. And its all encouraged with this

Paypal has made the choice to only accept Thai ID's for proof of identification.
Could have accepted passport of non thais. Fact is if a paypal account is linked to Thai bank account that bank will have all details and able to see all transactions. So all this is bureacratic BS and the intent is to stop foreigners using paypal in Thailand.. nothing less

I'm not familiar with the Thai PayPal, but in the Australian version you can link as many credit cards you want to your PayPal account. When you pay the funds are deducted from your credit card account, but you ctill get the PayPal protection. You don't need to keep money in the PayPal account, I don't have a single cent there probably in the last 10 years.
exactly.. We are just using it for convenience and protection. And now that 3rd world backward Kingdom doesnt want you to do that

Who, in their right mind, would use PayPal to transfer "millions or billions"?
We can all transfer legitimate millions or billions if we need to, just not through PayPal.

taken from the link....."The Home Office confirmed it currently has no plans to change the classification"
So basically more nonsense being spouted by the OP who is trying to promote his outdated views with more hysterical mis-information. A reclassification would not work well for that governments "popularity"
The promoters of reefer madness are a dying breed and i personally hope there is a well deserved seat waiting for them in Hades
It should classify as A. That satisfy you. Pot smoking junkie land Thailand

Contracts for construction and money to be madeby those in power . Pattaya is up near the top in Thailand for that. And there's a lot of competition for number 1. One thing's for sure it's nothing about 'easing traffic congestion '. On what is already a one way road there's other methods to stop congestion... But widening the road ? Brainless idiots
