When I asked why nobody came I was told they rang and there was no answer
Did your phone show a missed call from their number?

or of one picture of a truck, after all these years, unloading it on Soi Yamato. Been down that soi a million times over the years, at all hours, and never saw one.
How are all the other beverages they sell delivered then?
Perhaps they arrive by boat and carried up the beach and across the road.

if they want a synthetic resort experience and not see the real Thailand just go to Dubai and stop moaning
The "real Thailand" is not depicted in the glossy brochures, hence, many high end tourists are disappointed, and do not return, and no doubt tell of the "real Thailand" by word of mouth and on social media.

Be comforted that the members must appreciate these utterly predictable cries of pain when you're deprived of the attention rub you imagine you're owed. You'll get over it: the supply of mugs here is endless.
Yawn.
As usual, you play the poster, not the post.
Just your usual defection.

Your second sentence both asks and answers your question--and, we get restless and like to keep busy.
How many do you have on the market at the moment?

Correct. Every wealthy friend I know who has visited Thailand, have not returned. The desire to attract them is utterly hopeless. Maybe a few thousand a year. Maybe.
There are many nice resorts and hotels, all across Thailand. The problem is, when a tourist steps outside of their resort, they are in 3rd World Thailand, which is made worse by the rampant corruption here. These nice resorts are in the middle of outdated, unmaintained, or non existent infrastructure.

The cardholder potentially loses because the Visa and Mastercard rates are usually just below the interbank rate
Is this not a cost or "fee" to the card holder, for doing the transaction?

The truly fascinating part of this, is that they go on and on about wanting more tourists, and wealthy expats, yet they do absolutely nothing to improve the place, on any level. Whether it is expanding services to accommodate increased needs, addressing air quality, traffic safety, scammers, etc. Nothing is being done and Thailand continues to move backwards.
This is why their silly fantasies will never be achieved.
Thailand is all about money coming in, for the absolute least expense,.
When higher end tourists detour Thailand, they fill the void with cheap package holiday makers from developing nations, which continues to create the appearance of a successful tourism industry, by the numbers, but all it really does is devalue the Thailand brand. This was happening way before covid.
I don't see this trend changing going forward.

I hope not, it has been so nice and quiet here especially compared to what it was ????
Sure, but if it continues to go down the path of being quiet, the next thing you know, you will not be able to enjoy all the things that expats enjoy that are currently available here.

No. Not wasting time in another Leaver Loop.
Fail.
You don't have one single example to illustrate your claim.
Such a sweeping claim, yet not one single example.
It goes to credibility.

Not legal yet. Grab is but Bolt still has some issues with the DLT and the Government.
While Thailand legalized ride-hailing apps a year ago, the Bolt application isn't one of those and Pattaya-area authorities came down hard on their drivers Friday.Nov 30, 2565 BE
Interesting.
So, if police continue to harass Bolt drivers / riders, they will just move to the Grab platform. What will the police here do then?

Actually, I have a friend, who really want to come to Thailand and not like tourist areas or big cities... He is looking into some less populated areas. Not everybody is the same of what they desire. For me, it would be a nightmare to be in a location like that for more than a few days. But luckily different people have different needs.
Strange, back in my home country I lived in a rural area, and never wanted to live in a bigger city. But here it's the opposite!
Sure, but let's talk majority and minority.
Do you think everyone is like your friend, yet, many end up in a rural village in Issan.

There's no such thing as a wrong province for a Ping Pong show in Thailand.

The brew is made in Pattaya. It was always made by a German who worked there but he died a year ago. It's still made here to his recipe.
The question raised by another member was is every last drop that is bought and sold on the premises brewed on site. I have no doubt it's brewed in Pattaya / Thailand, but the dispute is about is all of the product brewed on site?
The member seems to think, due to the popularity of the venue, and the length of time to create a batch, it's impossible that ALL of the product can be brewed on site.
I wouldn't know, and I never met the German guy, but that is the question in dispute here, as I understand it.

As I posted, Bangkok Bank and Krungsri don't charge cash advance fees.
Do Visa and MasterCard charge fees for cash advances?

There are generally no fees, though I’ve seen one bank charge an ‘Admin Fee’ in the past.
So Visa or MasterCard charge NO FEES whatsoever for a cash advance.

Might that be because it is made in Thailand?
Thailand, the land of smoke and mirrors, fakes, and counterfeits. Money Number One here. Anything to turn a baht.
The brew could be anything, made anywhere.

Too funny.
Yes, you can avoid an ATM fee, if you don't use an ATM. Rocket science, I know.
So how about the cash advance fees? Care to mention them?
