Maybe the a la carte items cost more in Thailand but in general all value meal combos are way cheaper then the USA. Big mac meal in Thailand 170 bht = $4.79 USD. It cost at least $10 in the States so how is that more expensive? -

Are you serious???, 500 bht a month lunch is considered generous to you. Wow I feel sorry for the Thai staff you higher if you think he is paying them to much. In a country like Thailand where money is king and is their number one priority you have to pay way above market price to retain good staff.

Like anything in life, you get what you pay for. Give them a reason to stay by paying them a bit more then the average minimum wage and you will see your revolving door be less revolving.
