Wow! A least someone figured it out. Any policy that the government made only benefits them — nothing for down line people. The more insane policies they come up with, the more people there are that don’t want to come here; not only during this pandemic but in the future as well. I guess soon the tourism industry will be RIP here.

I assume that all the property owners will regret buying their property in Thailand. Maybe they will try to sell all their property now after they read the requirements from the government This is insanely ridiculous.
“Amazing Thailand.”- 4

Wow! Amazing! Within this short period of time!? I was wondering how this could be possible unless this was all set up earlier before the outbreak.
It has been 17 years after the SARS outbreak and 7 years after the MERS outbreak and there is still no vaccine for them. The scientists are cracking their heads to look for solutions. Most of the politicians claim that there will be a vaccine for COVID-19 but I don’t think there will be one available soon, as developing a vaccine isn’t a simple process.
14 hours ago, snoop1130 said:First to be vaccinated with the new drug will be vulnerable groups such as medics treating Covid-19 patients, as well as the elderly and children.
From my knowledge, vulnerable patients should be the last people to test the vaccine. They would be most likely prone to the virus (in case you didn’t know, vaccines include weak samples of that virus. Suppose their immune system isn’t strong enough to fight even that virus! They would be infected. That’s why people get sick after the vaccine!)
I was wondering, maybe this vaccine is local-made? Because recently other articles claim that Thailand tested the local-made vaccine on monkeys, which proved to be a success!
I would rather wait and see what the side effects of the vaccine is going to be before getting one.

All this can be settled without going through any big drama in first place.

There is always a catch behind their policies. Actually in my opinion I think that quarantines are superfluous. Most sane people would have the sense to isolate themselves and to go to the hospital if their situation is sticky.

Firstly, he shouldn’t leave the country in the first place if he got all the paperworks right especially during this pandemic, when they are starting to close down the borders
Secondly, he and his partner should wait until next year because many people have already mentioned about complicated requirements needed by this government if he wanted to return now.
Plus, it’s pointless to complain about it — they wouldn’t change anything

I guess many marine habitats will be damaged and the cost to build a bridge can help the poor people those are struggling.

The best way is to just forget about Thailand for a couple of years until everything is back to normal. Those requirements, regulations and paperwork right now for tourism is absolutely ridiculous. If anyone wants to go through this hassle, let them do as they want and suit themselves.
All the benefit from these goes directly to the upper class and politically powerful people; nothing for the lower class people who are still struggling to survive every day. It is pointless to complain about their regulations — they won’t change anything until they realize what went wrong.
The whole virus thing is just a trick to make a quick profit; they say you have to go to the hospital to recover. If you isolate yourself you can recover yourself at home instead of paying expensive insurance, hotel, and hospital bills for staying for 14 days without treatment, unless you are diagnosed with some other severe illness.
Even 17 years after the SARS outbreak and 7 years after the MERS outbreak there is still no vaccine for them. All the politicians claim that there will be a vaccine for COVID-19 but I don’t think there will be one available soon, as developing a vaccine isn’t a simple process.
It might be that this virus has been staying in our community for a while and will come and go in the future. There’s no such thing as second wave or third wave and so on.- 2

There are many ways to find him but for some reason they don’t want do it. This is all just gimmick for the publicity.

These tourists are coming here to spend money. If they need to do insane paperworks and go to through ridiculous requirements (like wrist bands, gps track, implant chips, etc.) before and after they get here. Probably there will be no more tourists here.

As we can see they love doing complicated things, even though they all can be done in an easy way. So, what happened to those who paid for the visa? Do they get refund? Or get another extra 30 days?

For now Thailand is not the best choice.Maybe after the new government.

It is worth to spend your $1 million dollars here.

You can’t compare America and Thailand. There’s a huge difference between them. People go to America to make money or to have a better life while people come to Thailand to spend money and spend time with their loved ones or family. They have a right to ask questions, but they ask some silly questions that they know the answer to, even though you have the proper visa and travel documents. This is kind of too much. On top, most of today’s passports are advanced — the moment you scan it, it can give your whole traveling history. So the verbal questions are unnecessary, I guess.

Basically, what I see is that we foreigners are outsiders not belongs here-- no matter how or what you argue about is pointless, you aren’t gonna win folks. As we can see even locals are fighting over many things but are there any changes? I guess the answer is ‘No’.
So as outsiders just go with the flow without complaining. It is very clear picture that this government is sending a message to the outsiders to leave the country; then I guess we should leave without complaining.
In my opinion our native countries are the best and safest place to stay right now without any of these troubles. I know it is an awkward situation and they are taking an advantage on us, so what we can do about it? Protest like locals!
The best-case scenario is if you got an extension stamp and you stay until the day permitted. If not, find a way go home and tell other folks in your country the story about your adventure in the ‘Land of Smiles’ during pandemic.
If you’re are traveling to Thailand for quite long enough, you’d probably realize that there were many changes over the past. This country really used to be ‘Land of Smile’, when you arrive at checkpoint the IOs used to be always smile, welcome you and stamp your passport.
Nowadays this country changed to ‘Land of Interrogations’, as once you arrive at checkpoint, the first thing they would do is ask questions; “What are you doing here?” “Where are you staying?” “How long will you stay?” “How much money do you have?” Bla bla bla…
Some can’t even enter the country, if you don’t have proper visa. I guess there will be more changes coming in the future. So if you are qualified, then you can come back -- but make sure to bring a lot of cash -- otherwise stay in your own country. “Home sweet Home!”
It is sad to those can’t make it but good luck folks.- 1

Wow! It looks amazing on the screen but does this really work — especially during the pandemic? Also I’m not sure even after the pandemic; it looks like scam too me. The only thing they are missing is the track-band, which can track the tourists after quarantine stage. Definitely they will look like criminals.
I am also eager to see those first 100 deep-pocketed tourists who will arrive here. All these will benefit for those HiSo and not for the LoSo.
Also, I feel so sad for those tourists who are already here. They are still contributing to the country, virus-free but struggling to get legal states to stay, as they have to get out of the country by 26 Sept. Good luck! -
This is just a waste of time but interesting to see what will be the outcome.

Sounds like they really hate the foreigners. Probably most of these tourists have learned their lessons from it.For sure they are not coming back for any grand plan activities that lines up. No worries -- those deep are coming.........Good luck.

I think I would rather wait a bit more to see other grand plans that they are lining up.

I feel awkward; everyday many people died from many other incidents but it has never been highlighted, recorded or been big news. But the moment when someone is infected or died from COVID-19 (which I am not really sure if it is real or not), it became big news around the world.
Most people are infected but they are cured by themselves without taking any treatment, like fever or flu. I feel that something doesn’t add up here and all this pandemic drama gives benefits only to the government, not the citizens because they have to pay for all.
It seems like the government is taking advantage of this pandemic for neoliberalism and trying to transform the welfare state to the carceral stage and taking control of humans.

Superb! I am eagerly waiting to see how this is going to work and what their next strategies is going to be. In the past few months they came up with many policies and strategies but none of them seemed to work according to their expectations because most people realize that these all are just rip-off.
Instead they should extend tourists’ visa for those who are stranded here — so at least they still can make money from them — rather than chasing them away.Good luck!

Probably there are already more cases out there because, first, they can’t be traced; second, some are not showing any symptoms (and can be carriers); and third, they are hiding because the cost for testing is too expensive .
So far I see that there is no proper treatment available in the market to treat this pandemic and the rate of people’s deaths are still low compared to the rate of deaths in other accidents or diseases.
Every government ask people to buy expensive insurance policy through their pointed agencies and do test or quarantine with their own cost at the provided government quarantine facilities which are very expensive. Looks like the government is actually making a profit from this pandemic drama because, so far, I know that the government is not telling the citizens the truth.????Eventually people going to be fed up ????with this situation and it will end up with chaos. Sounds like the World War III is about to begin. I don’t know why people are overreacting. It can be solved in a simple way by asking people to come forward and test without charging an expensive fees if they are not feeling well????

Here they come! 120+ Chinese from Guangzhou set to arrive at Bangkok airport on TUESDAY
in Thailand News

No worries; the 120 Chinese are all equipped with the brand new wearable biometric sensors, which can be printed on to their skins to track the symptoms of the virus, so Thailand’s gonna be the testing grounds.
