A fair percentage of injured tourists results from them riding motorbikes - no need for any Thai involvement.

1A relatively small increase in the price of a tourist visa would cover any healthcare costs.

Are you trying to say that in your opinion it is OK for expats to not pay their medical bills?

The ONLY solution to the problem is to legislate against burning with draconian consequences for those who defy the law.

New rule at Phuket Labour Office:
Only the employer may cancel the work permit, the employee not allowed to do this anymore.
Who told you about this "new rule"?

whatever mate, feel free to read and translate the thai version yourself ????
There's obviously no official english translation as thai law is in thai language.

Section 16, If u read the whole thing multiple times it's clear that only the Minister has these discretions and they avoided giving them to IOs.
That's why they always quote 12.2 instead.
That link opens an UNOFFICIAL TRANSLATION.

No, according to law they do NOT.
What 'law' are you talking about? Please provide a link.

Don't the IOs the have right of discretion?
And yes they are representing the state at the border.
Thai IO's have the same discretion about whether or not to allow entry as all IO's of western counties have.

You should not carry your passport around with you when in Thailand.
I as well as 99 % of foreigners here have never been “ detained”. I’ve been coming here since 1994 and many others waaay before.
Who, other than you, said anything about carrying a passport?

No, you cannot stay for more than 60 days and there is no Thai Embassy in Thailand!
If you have not already done so you can apply for a 30day extension of your visa-exempt entry - 1900Baht at a Thai immigration office.

No it’s not. Ask Big Joke. Most just take a pic of passport , visa and stamp and entry card. You DO NOT and for safety sake SHOULD NOT carry your passport. Much easier to get your most important document stolen. Some carry a laminate copy.
A person can be legally detained until they produce a valid passport.

lol .. okay so it works with those browsers too.. the point here is to let others know that it is working and they can use it for their convenience.
By implying the system only works with an outdated browser actively discourages people from using it.

Untrue -- It also works with Chrome, Edge and other browsers.

Those who are aggrieved by the UK governments refusal to unfreeze their pensions should support the Internation Consortium of British Pensioners.

Not an answer.
You don't trust MPs to vote the way you want them to; you wont let the people have the final decision; so who should make that decision?
I do not have an answer but what I do know is that MPs have contrived to make Brexit the most divisive issue ever faced by the UK in modern times.
Who do you think should make the decision? There is no modern-day precedent for the 'people' enacting law.

If it was me who owed any money, and only had a state pension and did not think I was being treated fairly and I was in the UK, I would let the Tax, DWP or whoever, take me to court. I would get legal aid, and the law says you must be left with enough to live on, so you would probably only have to pay about 2 GBP per month. ????
Or get sent to jail!

It is up to the consulate how old they can be, but reports indicate they tend not to be crazy about it like Immigration - demanding "same day" statements, vs a few days old, for no rational purpose (other than work-avoidance and/or agent-use encouragement).
Mmm - More unsubstantiated rumour based not on personal experience but on unvalidated, anonymous 'reports'.

If not MPs because you don't trust them, if not the people for whatever reason; then who?
The people have already voted and the majority of MPs were elected on manifestos that promised the people's decision would be implemented. Those MP's who have reneged on their "promise" should be cast out of parliament.
