Re-Entry permit
CartagenaWarlock replied to Yahtzee's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A reentry permit will preserve the "Permission to Stay" date. I have used it for tourist visa but never for exempt but technically I don't see why not. But there is no need as I mentioned earlier. You can get another exempt entry with a new Permission to Stay" date beyond your current one. -
Same as any other nationalities. And the impact on hotel industry is meagre to none at all. I rented out a condo from a Chinese national though a Thai agent. I don't rent from farang agents because I view them unable to run businesses in their home land due to their characters and had to run away from their homeland.

Re-Entry permit

To preserve you "Permission to Stay" date you need a re-netry permit but why bother? You can enter Thailand again visa exempt and get a new Permission to Stay date. -
Because they have the money? At least they are not looting, pillaging, and taking by force like colonial Europe did in China, Asia, and Africa. Are people jealous that the Chinese have the money to buy property in London and they have to leave their own lands to find a women in a foreign country to survive on a "wify visa" that must be renewed every year.

How do I know she is not even a bar girl? Any person who can't find girls from their own land to marry and have to travel 10,000 miles to find a bride? If the OP told the age difference, I could have been more certain.

How do you now she had no interest marrying Chinese? All bar girls I met in Thailand told me they are not interested in farangs. Only interested in Thai handsome men. They go with farang and even marry a farang only for money.

The citizenship is not an arbitrary paperwork. Ignoring citizenship and ethnicity by educated persons, including newspaper reporters, is like living in the middle ages. -
I found it the best thing since sliced bread. So easy now. I sit in front of computer and apply in five minutes now as I have all my documents in one folder in my computer. Prior to that, make copies, assemble them, go buy MO, put everything in the envelope and then go to PO to buy stamps and post it along with the passport. I had missed my Bahama tour. Now it is God sent and and so easy. Done in five minutes and get it in email after one week.

Can't have dual citizenship as India does not allow a person to keep their Indian citizenship once you get citizenship of another country. Even educated Thai people including reporters have a very narrow views of the world and have a tendency to assign citizenship of a person based on their ethnicity. I can't make any educated Thais believe me that 50% S&P 500 CEOs are first generation Indian (they are Indian Americans) and that the average income of Indian Americans are twice that of the Europeans Americans. They lack basic understanding of citizenship and ethnicity.
