  1. Got it. Thanks USD. When a youtuber says $50 room in Bangkok, everybody understands it USD. Dollar without specifying the country alwasy mean USD. Because USD rules the World.
  2. Dang it. Baht. Not dollar.
  3. Are there any other countries that are allowed unlimited access?
  4. I read in Facebook that Russians can do unlimited land border crossing without a visa. Is that true?
  5. You must be a centimillionaires for your friend to ask 100K USD. Nobody has asked me for that kind of money. And again there is nothing wrong with being a centimillionaires.
  6. I don't bargain or look for cheaper places like $50 room in Thailand. Why? Because I have the ability to earn in dollars. The same question I asked in another thread why people who have the ability to earn in dollars are losing their sleep over increasing egg prices.
  7. I use a barber shop in Rompho for my pedicure only. $150+$20. I don't need manicure as I can do it myself using a nail clipper.
  8. Whatever it's. I buy a carton. Never count or take notice of the price. I buy from 7/11 and never think of somebody is ripping me off. Went to Youtube and noticed a youtube video touting $50/month room in Bangkok. And by looking at this post, I keep wondering why westerners who have ability to earn dollars are also trying to live like most Thais, counting every penny. Not that anything is wrong with that but people who have the ability to earn dollars showing this type behavior is astounding for me.
  9. I don't know the price of a dozen. I just pick up a carton from 7/11 along with other stuff. I don't sweat over prices of individual items. I try to keep my food budget less than 15K for single person.
  10. Thanks. If I stay more than 90-day, may be I will make a trip to India and buy there for $50 for a 90-day supply. Was planning to go to India anyway. There is no generic. It is a new drug.
  11. Are there any hobo drug addicts in Switzerland? I always thought that hobo drug addicts are only an American phenomenon among the advanced countries.
  12. My rental agent did a few times before Covid. After Covid, I never did any TM30. So far so good. I don't have any need to go to the immigration office for any renewals or anything else. 90-Day is done by an agent also now if I sat more than 90-day. My place is the same. Immigration can always find me with the last TM30, they have in their file. I don't live in perpetual anxiety in a country where a few thousand Bhat can solve most of the problems. And that's why I love Thailand.
  13. Hmm. I don't see any warrant for people online in the USA who have overstayed.
  14. Russians can do land border crossing more than twice a year?
  15. Even if it is not cost effective, I think the pressure should be there. Otherwise,Thailand will be run over by overstayers from India.
  16. Does anybody know if farxiga is available in Thailand? I get them through my insurance for three month supply at $10. Without insurance the price can be as high as $600 for 30-day supply. My doctors told me it is available in India for around $15 for 30 day supply. Planning to visit Thailand for more than 90-day, but I cannot take more than 90-day supply to Thailand (my insurance will only give more than 90-day supply at a time).
  17. Yes I do agree. Now instead of 6K per month that I used to pay in Pattaya for my transportation, I have to spend may be 10K. But it's still very cheap compared to buying a car at (@ 6-7%), its maintenance, and insurance.
  18. In Pattay I exclusively use Bolt. Prices have gone up after the last Songkran. I could almost go anywhere from Jomtien to Pattaya for $80 baht which has gone up to 120-140 baht. And also wait time has increased. Tried bolt thrice last time I was in Bangkok (from Sukhumvit road), was successfully got Bolt only once while going to the airport. I used to use Grab in Pattaya before Bolt came. Grab was always expensive. Last time I used Grab in Bangkok was during the Covid and it was OK. In Bangkok I prefer BTS, MRT and then short ride by motor cycle or Taxis. Metered Taxis are almost impossible to get in Sukhumvit area.
  19. If the original visa is not transferred, how to make sure the extension is based on O or O-A for future extensions?
  20. Same for US citizens also. After spending three months in Schengen area, must wait another three months from the last date of departure from the Schengen area before you can apply to enter the Schengen area again without a visa. Digital nomads (Non-european, mostly US) in 2008 used stay three months in any of the 25 (san Croatia which is Schengen member now) countries and then go to a non-Schengen area (mostly nomads will flock to Croatia, Ukraine, Georgia, etc.). That's how the nomads discovered those countries and made them popular in the nomad communities. One of my friend bought a place in Kiev and did very good reporting in social media in early phases of the War when Ukrainian refugees were pouring into Poland and Hungry.
  21. I bought a pixel 7 in the US when Google put it on sale for $499 from Google store finance at 0% for six months
  22. WHat percentage of Thai households have A/C? I read somewhere it's around 20% or less.
  23. I don't know what else to call a 21 year girl who sleeps with a 60-year old man and the person showers her with gifts and money.
  24. I do international roaming and the dTac sim card I have that allows me to use 300MB data per day. I get SMS from Thailand to US on the same number. In Thailand the sim card gives me 20GB of domestic data. The sim card I use is an add-on to 3BB fiber for 100 baht.
