If not Russians, some others will take the job. I see constant postings in various Facebook groups, specifically Pattaya and Samui, about finding work in Thailand from other nationalities in Western countries. I wonder why they want to come to Thailand to work there. Are they rejects of their home countries?

In conclusion, I would ask that given this pretty simple solution, could not our Embassy return to assisting us in this matter?
Why do you need income documents when you can transfer your income to Thailand and show it to immigration? I don't know about any other countries, but I knew a few Americans getting bogus income certificates from the embassy for extension purposes.

For the same reason, Las Vegas has a university.

The open air brothel by the sea 😄 Not so much the place or the vast numbers of sex workers that puts me off, it's the foreign dross who go there.
The day I landed in Bangkok and went to a bar, I realized bars are brothels in Thailand. All bars in this country are brothels, but if you want to see very upscale brothels, come to Pattaya.
Hey, Pattaya has everything. Thailand should make prostitution legal. If you want to see the largest adult entertainment area in the world, come to Pattaya. Of course, there are other nice places as well.
Pattaya just needs a university campus in the Sri Racha area to make it a complete, cheap, and decent retirement heaven in the world or for a break from your home country. -

Can arrest Johhny foreigner for being a taxi but cant arrest Somchai for not using the meter.
It all makes sense now
It will never make sense to foreigners whose only voice is on this forum. Johny foreigner, could not make money in his home country and came to Thailand to earn money. What a shame. Must be deported.

Rediculous. In a counrty where the rich and connected can literally get away with murder you would have a foreign owner of a bar who may be married and have kids here jailed and deported for pouring a beer to a cusomer.
Sure. He could not make it in his homeland and came to a foreign land to make money, have a wife and kids, and openly flaunt their laws and rules. No mercy for them. Deport them.

Thailand needs expats and should wake up and start treating them with respect because one day they may stop moving to thailand and start going somewhere more welcoming. Lots of warm countries are already starting to be very inviting to us.
Please move to warm countries. I bet you won't or cannot. Show me by moving. I will bet you'll keep posting in this forum to enrich the forum owner. Your only voice is this forum made specifically to make money from people like you, and nobody on earth cares about your opinions.

The rule of the Nazis ended in 1945, some 79 years ago. Those people who were Nazis back then would be close to 100 years old now.
They may be 100 years old now, but ever wondered what happened to the wealth. Wealth does not disappear just because a person becomes old or dies.

If you own a bar legally you are not allowed to serve a beer. Do you think this warrants deportation?
Yes, sure. They should be deported.

My gut on this says she was doing a job that was not authorized by the work permit.
She was doing a job that is reserved for Thais only, like driving passengers in a rental car or using her own personal cars to drive passengers for money.

Russians may have spent lots of money to escape to Thailand, but those working illegally should be arrested and deported after getting their money. They have the gall to come to Thailand to work illegally. It is not free for all. If you are a retired westerner and have contributed to Western societies but still cannot live a decent life in your home country, you can come to Thailand and enjoy your golden years in 5000 baht rooms eating 50 baht meals, or you can build your dream house in the boonies, surrounded by dilapidated structures and open rice fields, to rejoice in your accomplishments.

Even with a work permit, you are not supposed to work in jobs reserved for Thais, like carrying passengers, tour guides, flipping burgers on the streets, working in salons, etc.

Anybody working illegally (without a work permit) or legally (with a work permit) but in a job reserved for Thais (like driving passengers) should be arrested and deported, unless from a low-income neighboring country. Imagine the gall of the westerners, unable to earn in their own country, had to travel 10,000 miles to work illegally in Thailand. Thailand is for unfortunate western retirees who could not make it in their own country and had to travel to Thailand for life and love. It is not for young people to discover 5000 baht rooms and 50 baht meals working illegally in Thailand.

I don't think there are any misunderstandings here....with 20 kids there she was operating an illegal business....it's illegal. She probably doesn't break the law in the US,
No, in the US, in all states, you need a child care license to babysit more than a few kids. In most states, it is 6.

The worst thing about all this is the anti foreigner sentiment this stirs up, and as usual by the same person that stirred up all the Covid racisim.
What happened to the COVID racism commotions? There is nothing wrong if, from time to time, some commotion is created by speaking the truth. After the commotion, most foreigners fell in line and started using masks, they did not leave en masse. Thailand knows that unless foreigners are kept chained (using all their document requirements) and controlled, they will go berserk. Have you seen an explosion of videos (TikTok, YouTube, and other social media) about the discovery of a gold mine in Thailand in the form of 5000 baht rooms and 50 baht meals, and one guy is even explaining how close to each other the places are. 🙂

Would point out Thailand is the easiest country in the world for a foreign woman to get citizenship. It's only foreign men they don't want.
Even worse. Maybe they realized that no foreign women came with gunboats to force a country to buy something they did not want.

Most if not all western countries have huge problems now with mass migration, and many immigrants have committed far worse crimes in the west than kicking a doctor in the back.
Thailand wants foreigners under control and chained with all their document requirements, keeping them as refugees from year-to-year residency, or the same attitude posted here. They know that if foreigners are let go unchained, they will go berserk and may use gunboats to force them to buy drugs. Also, the western countries forget two hundred years of colonization to lay their economic foundation by looting from the colonies. Now they are paying for that. And there is nothing wrong with that, and nothing can be done. Just swallow it as present payment for the past deeds.

f they want to make that illegal watch the business fold and go elsewhere.
I have been hearing this mantra, especially in this forum, since I joined. It does not happen on YouTube or Facebook, where I see an explosion of videos touting 5000 baht rooms and 50 baht meals, and they would even try to convert it into the US dollar or British pound for their folks to understand it better.

also, when foreigners misbehave or slightly transgress in your country, do you think that a trial by social media and a revocation of their visa is an appropriate response?
You are still too naive to understand why it's so difficult to get permanent residency and citizenship in Thailand, unlike in the USA, for example. Thailand wants to keep foreigners under control with their 90-day reporting, TM30 update, and numerous other documents and will only give extensions year-to-year so that they can kick a foreigner out for unruly behavior. Numerous videos of foreigners acting as if they had discovered a gold mine in Thailand show that if there is no control, the majority of foreigners will go bonkers when they learn about the 5000K rooms and 50 baht meals.

You know, lots of people work illegally. Why do you think IOs resent perpetual tourists? They know lots of them work illegally, and now it is even more possible due to the internet.

Lots of Russian money (maybe mafia money, but not sure) has poured into Thailand in various businesses, condos, and real estate. And many Russians are getting work permits from these businesses. And sometimes, they employ illegal Russians in management roles and Myanmar people in low-skilled labor jobs.

Have you seen the amount of posting in Facebook groups about finding jobs in Thailand and offering to help strangers with their menial work like moving, babysitting, etc.? If not, please go to those groups and find out. And most of these job seekers are from Western countries. When I point this out, I am attacked for not helping people.
