I am in the same postion as the poster working from home in Australia. My feelings cover the gamut of responses on this post - sometimes being annoyed and having to send funds as she couldn't work and other times feeling like a cheap Charlie for thinking this way. If I was 100 per cent sure about the relationship one way or the other it would be easier. She kind of lied to me as she wanted funds to go from Phuket to Ubon Ratchatani but it ended up costing much more to move than initially stated. She generally doesn't lie and never cheats so I no complain. She is a sweet heart and a full on buddhist. Am I the only one where a girl has so called buddha days where I have to leave her be. Yesterday she worked and got a 1000 baht so I was impressed. No not doing that.
You probably do have a good one.
Its pretty much Thai female 101 to never admit making or having money.
Unfortunately, if shes made 1000baht and told you about it, i bet its gone the next the next day, or thats what she will tell you anyway.
Frittered away on shopping for junk, or given to Ma and Pa or whoever.
She will soon be broke again and awaiting your next donation for power and water bills.

Who told you to lock down again for months or more?
Who told you to lock down entire world?
Who told you a vaccine will work only for a certain percentage?
Who told you that this vaccine will not work for old people?
Who told you that being careful will cause more deaths?
If you don't want to believe me than read carefully my post again and follow Fauci's advice.
But please don't spread again nonsense like a loud speaker of Donald.
And don't follow fake news in the future.
Wearing your masks and exercise social distancing, at least in Western Countries.
But as I said before, it's impossible to fix stupidity.
Gazzpa already put you straight.
You have not come back with even one slightly sensible rebuttal, only insults.
Shows your inability to put your point forward.
You must be a troll and a very poor one.
If you knew about the history, actually the people behind united nations and WHO and the rest of that ilk, you might have a slight idea why its all playing out this way.
Faucci is playing an agenda.
Anyone who believes he is credible, is just as sad an individual as him.
Have you noticed every time he opens his mouth its fire and brimstone, doomsday stuff?
Last he says is these viruses will be with us for many years to come and he more or less insinuated life will never be back to normal.
Now why would anyone express such opinions?
And he never seems to have any answers or positive plans.
Because it is HIS opinion, not science.
If someone wanted all the people of the world depressed, shut down, suicidal, economies destroyed, they would certainly be saying exactly what Faucci says every time he opens his mouth.
Why?
It doesn't make sense at all.
If he really thinks viruses will be here for 5 years, and he actually had half a brain cell, then he would be advocating living with them and managing them, not shutting down economies and applying never ending restrictions.
How many businesses and industries have gone to the wall already?
When companies that make your pacemakers, hearing aids and Viagra close down, maybe then you will also get the hint ????

Another Conspiracy:
In Thailand:

In Australia:
- right now, not very many outbreaks.
But multiple reports in the last month about a THAI restaurant(s) being a major cause of outbreak.
See where im going with this?

Nothing in this time is predictable. You will learn every day new things about the deadly virus.
Therefore the question how long any lockdown will last is nonsense.
It's a day to day business.
Depends on a second or third wave, depends on a vaccine. Depends on stupidity of people.
I presume you had nothing to do with science so far, same as Donald.
But again, you're not alone. There are many Donalds around. ????
Easy to hurl insults and not answer the question brainiac.
So..
what if we lockdown for
x months/years, totally destroying all our economies, and we STILL have rampant Covid?
What was even the point of shutting down the entire world if it ends up playing out that way?
Realistically any vaccine will only work to a certain % anyway,
and it probably wont even work at all for those who are already old and frail.
Fear, stress, and isolation of scared people like you will probably end up causing more deaths than Covid anyways.

So, of the 34 inmates who are possibly infected,
assuming they all have it, and given that 98% recover like that of a normal cold..
then a whopping 0.68 peoples will possibly die.
But yeah, carry on,
thats certainly enough to tack on another 3 months of panic and no economy and no real life for anyone.

You are spreading fake news like Donald.
Fact is we never had covid before. So we are unprotected. Even a small percentage of covid infected will die It's cynical not to say that every fatal case is too much.
The main reason not to agree with your nonsense is that we have to learn every day how this virus can change our lives after recovering.
It has impact on many parts and left you with many malfunctions.
Disability is the price you have to pay. Mainly your brain would work properly.
Covid is a threat to our world and the decision of Prayut is a hard but good one. The vaccine is only half year ahead.
My advice for you: inform yourself about this disease before giving the loud speaker for all those Donalds in our world. ????
Well what you call nonsense is starting to be realised by people all over the world.
So i presume all of these peoples brains also dont work properly?
That would be, everyone who doesnt follow your opinion and would rather just lead all our countries into meltdown?
Not much point debating with people like you..your brainwashed.
Ill just put forward again, the same thing that no-one seems to want to answer....
So, just exactly how long would you have us locked down?
1, 2, or 5 years?
Then when there is NO industry left, No economies, No jobs for the youth...and people starving everywhere..
And more likely Corona and/or other viruses will STILL be with us anyway...
If thats the case, it means we have self destructed all our lives..
for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Learn to live with it and manage it, or we may as well all jump in our graves now.

The daughters said they would sue anyone who falsely accused them of illegal activities in other countries, of leaving the country, of studying in Australia, failing to pass university exams, living in a mansion in England, laundering money, receiving money from their father, or hiding the fact they were the daughters of the PM
Those are a lot of specific allegations, many of which would be easy to prove if false or not.
If the people involved are absolutely fabricating all those stories, you can see why the twins would be angry.
But just reading that, It looks suspiciously like the twins have added a plethora of complaints,
the sole purpose being, to not draw attention to one big accusation that is kinda like the elephant in the room.

This could seriously backfire on thailand and their testing and figures if many of those stranded travellers test positive on return from thailand
I can't possibly see why, or understand your point.
Nations can't refuse entry to their citizens, regardless if they have Covid or not.
And If people happen to get infected sometime between leaving Thailand and arriving at another destination, it cannot be pinned on Thailand with 100% certainty anyway.

The brainwashing of fear will be the biggest hurdle, not Covid or its figures.
Plainly, Thailand (and Prayuths) strategy has been to watch what other countries are doing and go one better.
That is an idiots lazy approach.
Akin to opening a business and simply charging 10% less than your competitor, instead of actually working out the margins needed to turn a profit.
And anyway, opening up will never happen when individuals are running around saying stuff like:
oh.. international travel will be 2-5 years away...
oh.. we need a vaccine...
oh.. we need track and trace....
bla bla and all the other rubbish
But all throughout, even though the simple fact has been that 98-99% of the total population will recover from this like a mild to bad cold...
people are still carrying on like its an instant death sentance.
Its stupid you can't fix.
And the stupid people have made to many stupid decisions on a grand scale.
So just who will make the first moves?
And how can any nation open up international travel when stupid xxxxs everywhere are still cowering in fear.
Its hard to see how there can be any recovery to this.
If the threat disappears in time, yet the fear and MSM B.S. keeps getting perpetuated, then what hope have we got?
Very dark times for humanity.

I just dont get these guys.
While others are suffering with Covid, these guys seemingly have it all, yet are still not satisfied.
Now having drawn attention to themselves, the police will be poking and fitting them up for several other laws that have been outright broken, or skirted around.
ALL which could have been totally avoided,
if "flying under the radar" instead of posting their silly aรses on social media.
But no,
Once again,
its a case of the male farang ego,
pea-cocking and needing to be seen
"livin their best life"
Well, hope you be livin your best life in a Thai jail lads...

I wouldn't say trolling. I send my wife around 90k a month give or take a bit.
Got 2 kids and a house to take care of, bills to pay etc. After all outgoings are paid there's probably only 65k left for food, going out etc.
Just like the guy you mocked, it's my family, and I want them to live well.
And just for the record, I met my wife when I had nothing, but as time has gone on we've been lucky in many respects, 15 years later and our lifestyle has changed accordingly.
I dont think i really mocked anyone.
Its good luck for you guys if y'all on big enough $ to sustain that sort of budget indefinately.
As time progresses, i suppose expenses change, kids schooling is finished, and then they are gone, less expenses, and so on.
It depends on your age and earning ability.
From my calculations, you are actually giving away the equivalent of a months salary for a high end English teacher in Thailand ( maybe even university lecturer)
so you would have to be earning at least double that in whatever you are doing.
So when retiring, on those figures, you'd need to have aside
200k per month x 20-30 years to see you out in that sort of lifestyle scenario.
Again, good luck to you if that's the plan.
Im not mocking, but the major problem id be thinking about is having a Thai partner getting used to that lifestyle and those spending habits.
From what I've heard and seen, they just
don't handle it very well, if accustomed to a certain lifestyle, then told they have to throttle it down later on.
The old guys used to give their wives 80% of their salary and tell em that was everything. (20% cunning kit)
So It was then understood that that was ALL they had, and they had to make the budget themselves on that amount.
I always thought that might be the way id go if in that situation in Thailand.
But good luck to you Sir, however you go.

God I am so tired of the conspiracy nonsense,,, so who is creating this conspiracy and how is it being coordinated across all countries? What is the end game? Are all the doctors, scientists, hospital workers all over the world in on this conspiracy? Are they all keeping it a secret?
This conspiracy is on a par with the end of the world is coming and the whole world will collapse in 2000 when the entire worlds computer systems will shut down,,, surprise surprise nothing happened.. Same will happen here, the vaccine will be launched soon and by first quarter 2021 we will be returning back to normal, that's my thoughts and all the silliness around all these conspiracies will be forgotten like all the conspiracies that went before.
I suppose the hardcore conspiracy stuff comes from people trying to find reason, or cause, for all the madness going on.
There must be a huge amount of people who have been massively effected by the reaction to all this, people who live in areas that were never likely to have any Corona at all anyway. Yet they are suffering.
So i imagine, for them, this has been an absolute farce that could have been handled a lot better.
Western Australia for example:
since march:
population: 2.6million
655 cases.
641 recovered.
9 deaths.
I dont think anyone is calling it a straight out hoax, but there must be many that are seriously piรรed off and asking questions.
As we know, the mantra of every government has always been
"never let a good crisis go to waste"
It might be leaning on the conspiracy side a little, but i have no doubt that there would be people and governments using all this to fix certain agendas.

Actually the government thought that tourism is neverending income of money, they became even more strict on foreigners, many rules they changed, the numbers were starting to drop even before Covid-19 they didnt do anything to fined solution they were counting on hordes and masses of Chinese and Indians to saving their tourism sector.
Now Chinese are making large pool parties in Wuhan spitting into the face of rest of the world.
The prices on Real estate, hotel businesses significantly dropped i expect before 2030 that it will not be Thailand anymore but Chiland, and all money will go back to mother China only peanuts like taxes will stay to the government.
And another thing to note..
If you remember, for the past 3+ years before Covid, nearly ALL countries
(and most definately all of S.E.A) started to tighten up visa laws on tourists and long stayers. Even Vietnam banned back to back tourist visas.
So in effect there was a push, to really just get folks to GO HOME.
And I believe the diplomatic pressure was being put on many countries, from the likes of U.S, ENG, AUS..
To get western citizens (taxpayers) back home and plug the currency leak, for whatever reasons.
And of course they constantly blamed
"people smuggling" and
"threats to national security"
altough there never seemed to be any real evidence of such.
And now fast forward to our current Covid era...
The objective nearly completely done.
Mostly all citizens back home and locked down..
Again, for "whatever reasons"
Or maybe to distract us all from something, or get us in preparation for what comes next.

I don't believe they will extend the amnesty. They already announced as much.
Instead, I believe (and just my opinion) they will temporarily relax some of the overstay rules as a further grace measure.
Maybe that might mean they will not detain and black-ban overstayers,
just keep up the daily 500 baht penalty system, with max 20k fine on the way out, say for another 60 days.
So, in effect, you would will still be on overstay, just not seriously penalized.
I really can't see them rounding up and throwing overstayers in the IDC come end of September.
That would be an absolute P.R disaster.
But who knows with Thailand, you can really only expect the unexpected.

Australia announced the Oxford prospects quite a few days ago.
Those who follow both countries will notice a pattern of Thailand quickly following everything Australia does, especially with the OTT lock-downs and restrictions.
And one of the Thai government cabinet stooges has Aussie form with a drug conviction in the past, so maybe they like the kangaroos for letting him off easy.
Anyway, this is just more proof they copycat Australias nanny state-isms
Finally Morrisson is making some noise about the need to open the country and "learn to live/manage" the virus.
so maybe all is not lost.

There are.
But really, if a girl is living on a farm in Isaan, you pretty much know she has no other job or income other than a possible 180baht per day working on the farm next over, or selling some horrible concoction at the local village markets for 45baht a bag
So in my case, i can be confident that the small amounts i send are going towards food and living expenses only.
If they didnt have that backup,
then fair to reason,
they would be forced to move to a place like BKK for better prospects,
And THEN you would be wondering what they would have to do to earn a baht.
Its a pretty sหitty situation to be in.
I dont think many guys emphasize with the the reality of what some girls go through.
To them im just a chump sending money, while the girl floozies around buying new phones, gets a bike for pappa,
collecting money off her several other farangs.. giving money to her Thai boyfriend for yabba.
See, what BS everyone reads and believes on here is not always the reality.
